Abstract Photography

Does anyone else love to do digital artwork from their photographs? I've done a lot of work on my Arizona images. I use Photoshop CS2, and as an artist whose primary medium is painting and drawing, I find it a lot of fun to make something kind of "painterly" out of my photographs.

Those are very cool! I don't have those programs, so I've never tried anything like that.

I enjoy digital painting to earn a living - great pictures by the way - and with the various graphic programs around digital art seems to be a growing industry - great fun when you start from either photo or blank canvas -

Extending photographs in a convincing manner often provides a good challenge.

Pity we can't promote web sites as there are quite a few worth visiting

Wow, those are really cool pictures! I especially like that blue/green one in the middle... looks like hills or something!

This is about as abstract as I get... droplets of milk then just colorize it...

I love the ferns!

And those milk drops are awesome!!! I love modifying color and texture. By the way, the "hills" photo of mine is a sunset behind mountains. I modified the colors significantly, and added the textures to abstract it further.

Boss_BlueAngels, I assume you're a pilot? Are you in the Blue Angels? I saw a half dozen fighter jets fly overhead in northern Portland, OR this morning. They're so beautiful, and so loud!
