  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That was a comedic reference to "Jeopardy," a TV game show.
I know that now. Did you read the rest of the post? I barely posted it when IDay told me what it was, and I edited to add to my post. I might have seen half the show 30 years ago, and just didn't think about that when I responded. I suppose I should get with the times, eh?

This actually isn't what happens
Since we're now "calling out what's not right". It happens. I've seen it happen, and it's cruel to put any pack animal in that position.

All the dogs I've had were trained to not bark! When they barked, I'd ignore them...unless it was appropriate like someone at the door. Then I'd praise them. Shouting at the dog, making loud noises just scares the dog big time. It doesn't work! You end up with a nervous dog who is wary of you. Dogs are pack animals. You have to make sure your dog sees you as the Alpha dog. My dogs know I'm the pack leader. They know that I'm the one who they obey...however, it was never accomplished with fear or intimidation, just training, reinforcing appropriate behavior and essentially ignoring inappropriate behavior.

Truly, if the dog has you this stressed out, it's time to reconsider your choice of pet.
