You take Lexapro, anti-depressant (some say anti-anxiety, hasn't done much anxiety work for me) and Klonopin 1.5mg a day total. Do you also have a type of panic disorder or anxiety?
I take Klonopin because I felt agitated and my children were making it worse. Never had a panic or anxiety offical diagnosis though. I take Lexapro because I've tried quite a few other anti-depressants without any luck.
I wondered about Lithium this doctor lady I talk to says to takes long to work and there are better alternatives - but you sound like you've been on it.
Yes I've been on it for awhile. However the thing with lithium is if you go off it, it may not work as well when you go back on. That's how it is with me. I was stable 6 months, went off it. Remained stable another 6 months, then got bad again. It's been crazy ever since.
Not every bipolar person has anxiety, but many bipolars do have anxiety.Do anxiety and bi-polar pretty much go together? If they did that would make a lot of sense to me, if not I would wonder why you take Klonopin.
Klonopin has been a wonder pill for me when I need it, I have never taken a pill like that to calm me down so fast and well. I am no medication expert, but the AmbienCR made me feel terrible after the sleep and while I was dosing off. It actually caused me more anxiety, but it may be because of a relation to sleeping pills and a suicide attempt.
Sorry to hear that it causes you anxiety. For me it helps me sleep the whole night and I don't feel all groggy the next day.
Yeah, I feel like I'm a walking pharmacy. I'm glad it helps. It just seems like you are on a lot of medication, I hope you do get better, I just am saying that because I was a little suprised. I am glad you made an honest post about your medication though, it helps me too.
I hope your inpatient visit goes well too.![]()
It went well. It was shorter this time. I didn't like going impatient but I'm glad I did.
