My present avatar is from a worship song called Heart Like Heaven. One of my favorite worship albums.

I commonly use pictures of hearts or children as my avatars. Hearts represent God's dwelling place and children represent the kingdom of heaven. They are everlasting. They mean love and purity. Things I pursue and want to be known for.

Since our bodies are the real temple made by God, I believe that the new heart that He gave us is the holy of holies where He dwells (inner sanctuary within the tabernacle). It was a beautiful revelation I had.

Mine is Self-Portrait with Sunglasses by Alex Katz, 1969. It's in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. I took the picture a couple years ago. I love this painting, and the VMFA in general. I used to go once a month and spend the day taking in their wonderful collection. Hopefully, I will take up the habit again, soon.

I just like the attitude he has in this painting. He could care less, and neither could I.

I change avatars at whim. The current one appeals because of her confidence. She’s unapologetically glamorous. I'm the same. I don't apologize for anything God bestowed. Plus I love the beehive!

This is my favorite model. I love her vintage style and classic beauty. She's elegant and feminine. It's my preferred style and what the Lord requires of me. This image reminds me of home. She's well dressed and waiting for someone. Maybe her Beloved. The bottle of perfume is a nice touch. She looks her best for him. As we should.

My profile picture is a 3D render of a toy shield I made 9 years ago. Its inspired by the armor of God, from Ephesians 6. I also made a sword of the Spirit to go with it. I have this fun idea (still looking at scripture for it), that even though we all put on our own personal armor of God, each of us has one piece that is greater than the rest, for our purpose here. So I like to imagine the shield of faith, is my greatest armament. Its big enough, that not only can it protect me from the flaming arrows of the evil one, but also others in my life and those God brings me to.

There's some truth to that venksta. Based on my observations and experiences with spiritual warfare. There are places Satan never attacks. He looks for the weakest point in the wall. I believe my helmet is the strongest. He doesn't mess with me about God. He attacks people instead.

Mine is The Kiss of Peace (1869) by Julia Margaret Cameron. I think Cameron's photography is just stunningly beautiful and haunting, and exemplified in this particular piece depicting a moment of tenderness in the midst of sorrow. I think it's been my profile picture for close to five years.

1979 I reckon - outside the Dakota building, one corner of 72nd St and Central Park West. I've taken a selfie there in that exact spot (like a proper wannabe.)

My avatar is the exact same avatar I registered my account with. I'm kinda' stuck with it.

The current image reminds me of submission. It evokes a vulnerability and delicateness I find appealing. The butterfly confirms the gentle and quiet spirit she exudes. It didn't happen overnight. She developed her beauty over time.

My present profile pic is me sitting on my balcony in the midst of a heatwave. Unfortunately I never tan that easily in the sun and people usually comment that my neck looks like a fog light....

Avatar pictures are hard to come by for me. I'm picky. I used to use Bart Simpson pics cos my name is Bart but not anymore.

My original picture when I started here was created on this forum. It was an Indian girl in a pink sari. I absolutely loved it and was sad when I lost it when they changed avatars. So I searched for some time and I came across what you see now in my profile picture of a girl sort of cat. I'm sure it's some kind of Japanese anime that means something but to me it means a childlike spirit. I think I will always try to keep a humble childlike spirit. One that is teachable of that the Lord can work with. I'm wondering what that will look like when I have gray hair and wrinkles. Hopefully people will still see that child in me even when I look old.
