While meditating recently I stumbled across this question. What about polygyny and concubines? How does/did God feel about these things? Surely they weren't sinful as it is documented that some of the greatest men of the old testament partook in them, right?
Just as (for the most part) society has turned away from these things over the ages, it has begun to embrace and identify homosexual relationships and even those who wish to identify themselves oriented to such.
I'm playing a bit of devil's advocate here, but how is it that a hetero man with a major sex drive (who can afford it) is allowed several women, while a homosexual man is given the same options even though his preference is different?
I realize this takes a step towards the root of the issue, homosexuals are different and regardless of whether they choose to be or not, they expect to be treated as such. This is not meant in a negative fashion, but just that they carry emotions and feelings that are quite opposite the norm, yet are expected to conform regardless.
So truly the argument once whittled down, comes down to this.
Side A = homosexuality is a choice.
Side B = homosexuality is not a choice .
I'm writing this with the intention that we can have some constructive exchanges of information, so please try your best to keep it that way.
Also, I haven't researched this with any major effort, so forgive my ignorance.
