Most of those things are not true. I believe that you have been misled.
The "products of conception" are disposed of as all biological waste is. It would be highly illegal and very hard to steal medical waste and sell it on the black market.
Many women might later regret their abortions, but there are also women who regret their children. In reality, there is
no more chance of mental trauma from having an abortion than there is from carrying an unintentional pregnancy to term.
And almost 90% of abortion are done before week 12 of pregnancy. Here is a chart from
here:
Suction abortion removes the entire unborn human - not just the brain. You can read more about different abortion techniques, and what stage of pregnancy they are done in,
here. And here is a small chart, showing which methods are done at which stage(s) of pregnancy:
I also feel it is worth it to note that abortions are done at
the same rate, regardless of if they are illegal or legal within a country. So making abortion illegal doesn't make it stop.
Not everything you read is fact. I imagine that these books were either mistaken or outdated.
And fetal homicide laws generally only apply after viability - and as has already been pointed out, most specifically exclude abortion. Though, personally, I don't agree with them. I think that killing a woman, pregnant or not, should get someone a long time in prison. I do not think that there is a need to specifically punish someone for killing a
pregnant woman - what matters to me is that they are punished for killing a
woman.
