  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Shalom Mishpochah (my family),

A friend of mine, the one who is going to Princeton currently (he will be transferring to a Catholic seminary in St. Louis), sent me the following email two days ago. I felt compelled to share it:
Dear friends,

This past Sat. Katie and I went to Washington D.C. It was a nice visit to our nation's capital.

However, there was a storm cloud rising... The day was very sunny, but we saw the preparations for the massive abortion march that took place on Sunday. I just spoke with a friend who lives in D.C. who told me an estimated 1,000,000 people marched for the right to kill unborn babies. The event was a media frenzy... you see, the woman from the famous "Roe vs. Wade" Supreme Court decision has accepted Christ and is trying to get her case overturned! This has the abortionists extremely upset.

The event turned into a "come one come all" spectical for moral depravity. Homosexuals slobered and groped over one another, and everyone joined in what become a "hate parade" in which Christians and Pro-Lifers of all shades were given the middle finger and cursings from 70 year old grandmothers, and people in the crowd screamed at the young Pro-Lifers that their parents should have aborted them when they had the chance. Christians were viciously treated, but the mob was an equal oppertunity hate parade screaming obsenities and hate-speech toward Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, New Agers, and everyone who was there making a presence for the sake of life.

The mob was apparently viscious and full of hate... on Sat. I recall being shocked to see a single T-Shirt that read "Abort Bush" and realizing that these people really get a kick out of the fact there is a segment of our population that it is actually legal to kill... they wish they could kill Bush and everyone who stands in their way... they are filled with hate and enjoy death... they would sooner offer money to kill humans than help them... they laugh at the Jews who died at Nazi hands because they are waging a holocaust of their own right here in America...

One of my best friends might have been aborted, but I am so thankful for the love of his parents who decided to keep him alive and the grace of God that without doubt has continued to work on their hearts...

I am so glad you're hear with us Tuck - much love...

An article I read by a Bishop in the "Charismatic Episcopal Church" - http://www.virtuosityonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=739

Let our prayers rise like incense to the Lord, under whose altar we meet the cries of a different kind of martyr... you see, the word martyr is Greek for "witness" meaning one who offers testimony... the unborn children who are killed are raising their testimony before God... "How long oh Lord...?" And may our prayers be added to the incense of these innocents...

Every day in Eretz Yisrael there is an estimated 150 legal murder of unborn babies, and a further 300 done daily illegaly. I pray G-d does something to end this senceless murder becuase nothing is more important than life, and yet it is snuffed out before it even has the chance.

The whole world is turning on the Torah and what G-d wants all for their own selfish benefit  Even here at CF we now have a "tattoos and body art" forum. I pray Moshiach returns quickly!

Shalom and G-d bless

Yes, well... I don't try to hold christians to my standards. I'm sure they would also have another forum that would say, "Pork tastes great!" if they had their way ;)

Seriously though, this short story my friend shared with me broke my heart... literally.
