  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In the course of my delving into God's Word, I wondered, finding that He is willing, if He was able as well. This is my simple conclusion:

God is both willing AND able to save all.

See Psalm 49:15, 86:13, 103:8-14, 136, Isaiah 1:18, 6:7, 25:7-8, 26:19, 33:24, 43:25, 44:22, 45:8, 55:8-9, 57:16, 64:6-9, Jeremiah 3:12. Lamentations 3:26-32, Ezekiel 11:19, 16:55, Hosea 13:14, Micah 4:5, 7:18-19, Ephesians 1:10, Philipians 3:21, Colossians 1:19-20, I Thessalonians 1:10, I Timothy 1:15, 2:4-6, 4:10, 6:13, II Peter 3:9.

Maybe others can add more to the list...

What about Colossians 1:16-17
- For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
- And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

I would think that Jesus who has made all things, can with a simple thought(to Him) bring out the most wretched soul from the depths of Hell.

He IS able and willing.

Will that result in salvation for all? We have not been told any such thing. Yet we pray for all persons.

I don't believe God will overwhelm any person's free will and force them to accept His forgiveness. Will all, when presented with the REAL God, rather than perhaps a caricature of Him created by misconceptions, choose to accept forgiveness? Will they have that opportunity?

We have no such knowledge. But we hope and pray for all.

To believe this and teach it as fact would be wrong. It could result in false assurance, lulling some into refusing to repent when they might have done so, and their blood would be on our hands.

Love simply hopes, and prays.

We know that God is omnipotent, right? So...if He is willing and able and omnipotent, then salvation is a "done deal" IMHO. However, seeing through a glass darkly as we do, we tremble with uncertainty, not seeing the end from the beginning. But see I Corinthians 15:21-28.

That's not a bad suggestion!
