  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

 Well, sorry to take us on the tangent again but...

I see the Creationist forums as the YEC's own quiet "coffee shop" and can understand why they don't want us TE's coming in, throwing over their tables, and kung-fu kicking everybody.

Except several of them have taken to naming posters and taking pot shots at them - and if the said poster goes there then they scream "you can't debate here".

Funny - I have never seen that whine come from the TE board. I wonder why?

Back to the OP: is there still a question regarding whether or not the theory of abiogenesis is a part of the theory of evolution, or even, that they may be the same thing?

How is this an open question? About 10 seconds of fact checking would tell you abiogenesis is NOT part of the theory of evolution.

And who on earth would say they are the same thing? Oh yeah - some Creationist. Nevermind.

Well, its more like a choice of fraternities. You can kick back with the Delta House and have a beer:

Bluto: Grab a brew. Don't cost nothin'.

Or you can go to the Omega House:

Chip: [being spanked as part of Omega's initiation] Thank you, sir! May I have another?
