  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is a fact that Jesus never had a dime. There are no scriptures that say He ever did or that He ever spent or had any money at all. Judas Iscariot kept the money bag and helped himself to it but Jesus wasn't ever worried about that or about how much money was in the bag. Jesus didn't need any money and I doubt He ever wanted any.

I'm not aiming this post at you specifically, I just think it is interesting and every one of us should know that Him having money was never an issue with Jesus. He just didn't need it. And really, neither do we.

Even when Jesus wanted a denarius to show the people and make a point about it, he had to ask for one because He obviously didn't have one in His pocket.
Nice post, David. And thanks for the food stamps.

The women provided financial support but weren't they inspired by The Father to do so? I think they were. God would take care of all of our needs if we just had the faith that He will instead of worrying about them.

Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

This new Tool music is terrible. If the rest of their album sounds like anything they've released so far, they might as well decide not to put anything out at all.

Oh no, really? I haven't heard any of the new album. Hmm. I'll have to check it out. How can they take this long and then not put out anything good? That's disappointing.
