Just got an email from Eddie, he says he can no longer take the pressure of being held up as some kind of role model, and he's gone to live off-grid. Like, so remote and far from anywhere that we won't be able to talk about what he's doing, or even mention him, and if we do it's only going to stress him further. Seems very sudden, and I don't know why he told me all this, but he did, so now what?

Looks like a hoax email to me. He’d never survive off the grid.

My friend Eddie would never abandon me like that. He might be quirky, have mental health issues and be completely inappropriate in public, but overall, he's a nice guy.

No one who knows him doesn’t like him.

Only his ex-wife doesn't like him.
