Many have heard what I share and the jury is still out as to what I share, that God wants to make us overcomers, victorious all day, every day. Some have painted me a trouble maker, a doom and gllom legalist. I am neither.
The sad part to me is that what God wants us to hear is the ultimate doctrine of love. He wants to so fill us with Himself that we not only wantto obey, we CAN obey. We CAN be given to power to do what our heart cries out for, to be good, to be holy, to please our Lord....all day, every day.
But there is a down side to this amazing walk. We have to sell our pearl collection. Our flesh must be put off, not just when we need it "controlled", but ALL THE TIME. Even our "good" flesh is unacceptable to God. It all must be left behind.
This will of God for us.....it scares us, doesn't it? We have visions that Gods will for us is NOT "that good, and perfect and acceptble will of God". Sadly, deep inside, how often we do not trust Him or think Him good, faithful to lead us beside still waters...to restore our souls to their resting place, to fill us and lead us into "joy unspeakable and full of glory".
To those of you who read this and do not want to lose your lives, who pride yourselves on your deep understandings of the Bible and yet who not hate sin in your walks, the rebellion rooted deep in your heart that refuse to submit all to His hand, there is nothing I can say that will awaken you. I can only warn you that I fear you are on dangerous ground and walk on. If this is you. and you are content where you are, genuinely feeling quite satisfied in God yet without holy hearts, thinking you rest on the grace of God that covers the remaining evil in your hearts, I weep and pray for you. But I cannot argue with you, for only the spirit of God can turn you. I pray He will.
But for those of you who who seemingly have this deep itch inside your hearts, your souls, an itch that has yet to be satisfied, may I spark your faith that your God will not give you a stone when your heart is craving the bread of life that truly satisfies and scratches that itch? SATISFIES! You may be a rebel, or fallen away from the organized church. You may be bound by sins unconfessble here on the forum. You may even be a normal, go-to-church-every-Sunday believer, but inside? All if you hate your failures, the sins that still haunt you.
Somehow, past all the dogma and doctrine we have all told to be satisfied with, you still cannot shut out the voice of the Spirit calling you to come up higher, to run into Him, and it is you who I want to encourage with a word from the Lord.
I beg you, Hear what the Lord woud say through my inadequate words:
The path I share is not hard. It is for those who have walked the hard path and failed. It is for those of you who long for pure hearts, holy thought lives, a genuine love for God and others, but who know that you do not. If you can be open before God and honest enough to admit that you do not love....no, noo, CANNOT love as you should, you are blessed. Do you long for a prayer life that is real, vibrant, filled with the glory of God? It awaits you. It is to you I write the words God is sharing with my heart.
Listen to me. Listen closely. He knows your weakness. He knows you cannot walk the walk He has called you to, this "highway of holiness" that seems so agonizingly elusive. And yet He calls you still. "Come up higher" says your God.
Do not fear, little flock. It is the Fathers good pleaure to GIVE YOU the kingdom. It is His will that what you cannot do, He can and will do IN you. His grace is THAT good.
What must you do? Nothing. Surprised? NOTHING. This is the hard part, accepting and admitting that you cannot DO anything, for God asks you to BE. You are simply asked to change clothes.
Let me ask you a question. Who are you....deep inside? Are you a lover of evil or an lover of good? This is our task, to MAKE OUR TREE GOOD. It is not our duty to hang artificial fruits on it in hopes of pleasing our master. Fruitfulness is His job. Ultimately, in the end, that is what awaits all of us who truly love the light, even if we know not how to walk in it 100% of the time..... yet.
At the judgement seat, a complete polarization of good and evil will occur and those who love the light, they WILL come to the light.
If, as you close your eyes to pray,and you know your heart and are honest and open before your God, and find you must admit that it is bound by the flesh. but IT LOVES THE GOOD. then brothers in the Lord, sisters in the Lord, run into Him. He is waiting to help you by filling you with Himself.
Let the promises of God be your light posts, your "bread crumbs", leading you into His everlasting arms, where He can shield you, protect you, love you, rejoice over you. All you need to do is exercise the one thing you have that is truly good....your faith in His goodness, His grace, His salvation. It is a gift to you that has never been withdrawn, no matter your failures.
Drug addict? No matter. Addicted to porn? Childs play to our God. One of the countless millions who are bound by no gross sins but whose self still demands ultiate reigning on the throne? He can deal with all of us and easily, and set us free....free indeed...just as He had promised us. Is your faith small, trembling and weak? Perfect! You have just enough!
Your "new you" has been waiting for you since the day you came to Him. Simply put it on. You will be amazed at the fit. and what If you fail tomorrow? it changes NOTHING. Simply confess, repent and hoist your shield high again, believing in the promise of God to you. You are new. You are light. Nothing will ever be the same again. Satan is in deep trouble, but you? You are destined for an amazing rest of your life, non-stop into eternity.
