CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is my hope that we will stick to sound doctrine by keeping our feet on the footprints of Christ. It's time to close and bolt the doors against strange and fanciful doctines.
"The time will come", Paul wrote to Timothy, "when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned into fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." {2Tim. 4:3-5}
Sound doctrine is Bible truth.
Paul wrote again, "of these thing put them into rememberance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers". {2 Tim 2:14}
Within this "Christian Forum" my eyes have been opened to the design of the enemy at work. Post revolving around the discussion of non-essential theories and the settlement of unimportant disputes flood the board. When countless points of difference arise let us shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase into more ungodliness. For surely the enemy will arouse arguments upon these points, which might better remain undiscussed.
Let's avoid bringing up minor theoritical differences and devote our energies to the conversion of souls unto salvation.
The only question asked in the judgement will be "Have they been obedient to My commandments?" Petty ,strife and contention over questions of no importance have no part in God's great plan. Those who teach the truth should be men and women of solid minds, who will not lead their hearers into a field of thistles and leave them there.
