  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am happy if my baseball team is winning games. However that doesn't mean I want to go to their games....or watch their games on tv......or even listen to their games on the radio. I'd rather be hit by a train. It would be a quick merciful death. To paraphrase Mark Twain, "It's a terrible death.....being bored to death." :swoon:

Then....there's my husband. He doesn't MISS a game on TV if he can catch it. When we were in college, he used to pack up his books and notebooks and catch an early-season game on a rainy night under the overhang. Back in those days, the tix were less than $10. He would watch and study. He's more "fanatic" than "fan"...heh

That was the perfect response....you understand. ;)

When my daughter was about 14 I took her bow hunting with me. I put her in a tree close to me, hoping she would enjoy the 'anticipation' of the hunt along with me. She didn't and I could tell it was torturous for her. I never asked her again. :(

However we do shoot archery targets together :) (although she won't shoot at my animal targets).
