The first restaurant was founded in June of 1919.
One time I got A&W from a tap, but after a couple sips I was confused by the flavor. I kept having images of corn bread. Then I realized it was a similar flavor to when I would put syrup onto corn bread as a child (I don’t really like syrup). I couldn’t drink it after that and just brought it home and gave it to my dad.Never was a big fan of A&W.. expect when I used to go to this one KFC as a kid. They served fresh A&W from the tap and it was so good.

Generally I like A&W though. I guess their mixture was a bit off or my taste buds were extra sensitive that day.
A&W is the best for root beer floats.
Has anyone tried A&W flavored candy before?
I didn’t know they made licorice twists. :OYes I have! Love their hard candy shaped like barrels! The licorice twists are alright too.

Edit: I realized I’ve already told that story about the A&W fountain on CF before. Oops. It’s one of those experiences I can’t forget.

I’ve had the hard candies and also jelly beans.
