CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

btw, did you ever check out the catholic and the lutheran (LCMS I was born into and grew up in) catechisms ?
your sig seems to indicate no. (i was very very very surprised to say the least, when i went back and check for myself (i never suspected even, in decades ! until i got one and read what it said/ verified- the cat doesn't line up with Scripture) )

what i meant is/was, the rcc and the lcms (others probably also) don't affirm the ten commandments, but rather change them. when i asked 'why', an excuse was given.
this after more than twenty years in the lcms and as a born again spirit filled bible reading believer was a shock to me to find out.

It is rather strange how quiet this area has become. I remember back in the day when it was just one huge Adventist forum, there was a battle everyday. I suppose that has been taken to spectrum haha.
