  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A very important prayer request

Today, as we went to Kroger's a man in a wheelchair approached us. He had one leg amputated. He was asking people for help, if they could spare some change(money) to help him make it until Friday until he got his government check. He said the government had taken his food stamps from him and he barely ate one meal a day. He said his medicine cost him over $300 a month. We gave him money as did several other people coming out of Krogers. But someone had went into Krogers and told them about him and the police was called. The police ran him off. He rolled himself over to Burger King's parking lot. We went over and asked him for his address, so that maybe we could get some help sent to him. He said he didn't really have an address right now, but he gave us his ex-wife's address because that was where his checks was being sent to right now. He was living in a motel for awhile, but they kicked him out, because he ran out of money. He said he contacted the attorney general and other offices, but they wouldn't help him. This man desperately needs help. I don't even know this person, but the look on his face was sincere. Please remember him in your prayers. If anyone wants to send him something, his name and address is:

LORD,
We ask you to bless Daryl. Heal whatever ailments are requiring him to spend $300 a month on medications. Provide him with a stable place to live that is within his budget. Guide him LORD to attend services at a local church where he will hear the Gospel and touch his heart so that he accepts JESUS as his savior. Watch over and protect him. Help us O LORD, to be a little less cynical. Yes, FATHER, there are many, many scammers in this world today, so many that your children are becoming unwilling to accept that someone is truly in need. Your SON didn't ask for proof that someone really was in need and told us to help all who ask for it. I suppose I'm a bit biased here LORD since I've asked for justabitofhelp from the Body of CHRIST and wound up getting kicked and stomped on (figuratively speaking) by those who decided I was a scammer too without checking the facts. Help us FATHER to think of WWJD. Help us to be a blessing unto all those you bring into our lives LORD, for I know that when we're blessing others we will be blessed all the more.

In the HOLY Name of JESUS we pray.

amen Tim. perhaps if he is a scammer, hypothetically speaking of course, if I were to include a letter telling him how I found out about this and that I'll be praying for him, if he is a scamer, he may change his ways. either way, he may come to Christ:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

God, Give us Wisdom:prayer:

Cool, I didn't think my post here made it on as I got an error message when I hit submit & of course when I went back everything I wrote was gone. I was just getting ready to attempt to retype everything, though I know it would be different. MS, if you do write to him, include a SASE. 37 cents may not seem like much, but when you're hurting for cash it can be.
GBU All,
Tim

I would like to share a story with you guys,
Once I meet a guy from another country, that said he was in school. That he was learning everything he could about God, so he could be a missionary. But he did not have enough of money to finish the school. I asked how much he needed, so I sent it. I wired it to him! He saw that iIwas being generous to help, and to do what I could to fulfill my purpose to life here on earth to help others! He felt quilty, a few weeks later. He wrote me an email and told me that he was wrong for what he had done and wanted to send the money back. God knew my heart, to me it did not matter what he was spending it on, cause I knew as I prayed over that God would make sure that it was spent wisely. " I will tell you that there are people out here in this world that need our help." Sure some of them my pretend, and say things that are not true." But God says for us to help those in need. God comes to us in many shapes and forms! He comes to us , like that complete stranger in the wheel chair! Question yourserlf and say hey, what if, this is a test from God? I promise you my friend if you believe and have faith in Jesus Chrsit and pray over this sitution, you would only do as God leads you to do, you would not have a doubt in the world over wheather this guy is a crook or not! And besides its not our place to judge Him, for His day , will come, just like ours on, judgement day! Also, Ask yourself, if that were you, in that sitution, as that man. No job, no food, no car ( obviously ) wouldn't you want help too?
I know I would!! I pray that God will en-lighten your heart's to not be stingy, and trust upon Him, for guidiance of this matter. This story really touched my heart, and I will say that, God has allowed me the gift, of feeling, things for certian situtions. And as the tears poured down my face, this is one story that touches my heart! I pray you all will pray for this man, and do as God as leading you to do! For This Is A Test From God!!!!!!! God Bless you All, Love and lights ~ Angelface~

P.S. I'm not saying you have to send money. There are other things that you can possible do to help this man. Here's a list

1. You could write him
2. You could send him a card
3. You could send him a bible
4. You could send him a box of groceries
5. You could send him other ect. that he could use
6. You could send him anything you want too, to show him that God loves
him
7. You could send him a prayer list of how many people are praying for him
8. You could go see him, and get to know him.
9. You could find out as much about him, as you possibly can, so you can
help him
10.You could Pray for him, prayer is the most important thing we can all do
to help him

If you have any advice, you may Pm me and I will try to help you as I can, for I help alot of youth here at cf, for my purpose of being a youth counsler
God bless you all. ~ Angelface ~

Thanks everyone, for remembering Daryl in your prayers. We saw him again today as we drove down the road, this time he was riding in his wheel chair down the side of the road. We went down the street and turned around and thought we should try to give him a little more money for food until he gets his check tomorrow. We couldn't find him. But, it was so hot today, I guess he might have went into one of the restaurants or stores to cool off. I don't even know this person, but I do believe his situation is real. Yesterday when we talked with him we asked him if he went to church anywhere and if he was a Christian. He told us where he went to church and said he was a christian. He said he prays to God every night to help him. He told us why and how his leg was amputated. It was due to hardening of the arteries. He had an operation and infection set in, so they had to amputate one. He said he almost lost the other leg. Just thought I'd post to keep you updated...
