A very good personal website on these issues

Here is a very interesting personal website on one person's take on TE. He covers nearly every objection that a YEC or OEC may have, and cites Scripture a great deal. Here is part of the intro:

Goals


1. The most important goal of this web site is that you will come to know Jesus Christ if you do not know Him already, and that believing in Him you will have salvation and eternal life.

2. The second most important goal is that you will Test Everything! I hope that you will be instructed and inspired to check and verify everything that you hear or read. There is not enough checking going on in the study of creationism and evolution. If you are a Christian, you should test everything because the Bible tells you to in 1 Thessalonians 5:21. If you are not a Christian, you should do it because you don't want to be deceived by false teaching."

Now the question is, did Paul mean to test scripture against all things to see if it is correct, or did he mean test everything against scripture? He says prove all things, but the context is about Jesus Christ and His coming, not creation or evolution.

I would say you test everything, the evidence from science, a particular teaching, a particular reading of Scripture, using all the evidence God has given us, including other Scripture, the evidence of Creation itself, etc.

Did you bother to read through his thoughts on Creationism and evolution?

Nope I did not bother to read his thoughts. Have you read lately what Jesus told us to tell all nations?

Yes, and I do that as often as possible. But if you are going to bother to debate these issues, it would be sensible to read what other Christians are saying about it.
