I do not believe that a lawyer or politician must nor needs to lie just because of the nature of their work. I believe that integrity is important and there is no need to lie to get things done. I was just on the phone with a high ranking official in one (probably they most important religious organizations) of the religious organizations in our state and we briefing talked about this. The politicians lied about the gambling referendum and manipulated this religious group and other churches just to get their way. This was not necessary and I frown upon it. If you have to lie to get your way then you are a pretty pathetic person and your ideas must be WRONG!!!!!heavensangelwv said:Do you believe it is difficult for a laywer or a politician not to lie to a certain extent just because of the nature of their line of work?
lol, well in WV don't they already? or do you mean legally?...lol Well I do tend to think that teachers should be able to carry firearms in school. If they know how to use them and pass rigorous evaluations to insure that they do have the know how to use one, when to use one and have nothing from their past that would make a person think twice and they need a psychological evaluation to insure they aren't going to be trigger happy or anything. We are never going to get rid of guns. If you take them away from people legally then the criminals/evil people will still get them and use them. If we really care about kids then we will do whatever it takes (within reason) to take care of them, including allowing teachers to carry guns.heavensangelwv said:Do you feel that if a teacher is trained to carry a firearm he or she should be allowed to carry it at school?
I think it is funny. But have no fear it will be ours...lolheavensangelwv said:How do you feel about Russia claiming the land around the north pole as their own?
Yes I do believe that high profile princes should be permitted to actively serve in their country's military. Especially in Britain where it is a tradition to serve in the military. I am not sure about war zones. I can see both sides to this argument, I will have to get back to you on this point.heavensangelwv said:Do you believe that high profile princes should be permitted to actively serve in their country's military? Well free health care sounds like a good idea, but in reality it is not. We should strive to get everyone insured by private insurance companies, but socialized medicine is not the way to go. I do not want the government to be involved in my medical decisions. Just look at the British NHS and the Canadian health service. If we go the route of socialized medicine where would these people go to get their operations?...lol It is not the governments job to provide healthcare to people. I do take out an exception to children. I do believe the government can help people get private insurance, but that is about the extent of it. Government should stay out of the boardroom, the bedroom, and the hospital room!heavensangelwv said:How would you feel about your country having free health care for all of its citizens? hmm, this is a tough one, I think it varies from person to person. Definitely no one should be married before the age of 18. I think too many people get married too young and then end up getting divorced. You need to be mature enough to handle marriage and know that it is a lifetime commitment. Both people must be committed. It is not something that 1,5, or 10 years down the road you can just say, well this is getting too hard so we need to call it quits. Marriage vows are supposed to last a lifetime, now I know that sometimes things happen, but I think a lot of it has to do with people getting married too young. I myself think I should be at least in my mid-20s before I get married.heavensangelwv said:How young is absolutely too young to be married?
If my parents have a LEGITIMATE reason for not liking the girl I want to marry then I would definitely have to stop and reevaluate the situation. I'm not sure if I would still marry them or not. I sorta doubt I would if my parents have LEGITIMATE reason for not liking them. My parents are strong Christian people who I know have my best interests at heart and they trust me to make smart decisions and if they say whoa wait a minute, we have some majore issue(s) with this girl then I would stop and listen to them. Family harmony is very important to me (or at least harmony with my parents). I know that my parents would not try to stop me unless it was over something very important.heavensangelwv said:Will you or would you have married your spouse if your parents had a legitimate reason for not liking him/her?
It really depends upon the task. Some things I want to be open to do my way and other things I may want guidance on how to do them.heavensangelwv said:Would you rather have a strict way of completing a task or have that task 'open' to complete any way you so choose?
I am assuming you mean someone that I have actually been around a lot (not someone from history). My Dad is a major inspiration to me. I am inspired by how well he witnesses to people and I am inspired by his very strong work ethic. We have a lot in common and he inspires me to try a little bit harder or go that extra step.heavensangelwv said:Who has been the most inspirational person in your life? My sleep patterns are constantly changing. One night I may get 3 hours of sleep the next I might get 7 or 8, so it just varies from night to night. I find it rather difficult to fall asleep most of the time. But usually on days that I have worked really hard (like building fence or something, not paper work or computer work) then I fall asleep faster.heavensangelwv said:How many hours do you sleep in a typical night? I'm not sure what my favorite flower is. I really like lillies, but also moon plants (I think that is what they are called), I also like dogwood trees, and Irises. I do have moon plants and dogwoods around. I don't think we have irises anymore, but we do have lillies.heavensangelwv said:What is your favorite flower? Do you have any planted?
Well, I believe you already know the answer to this question. I have not seen the movie, so I don't know what I think about it. I do find it disturbing that there was no sign directing people to the crash site until after the movie, but alas I won't rant on this one.heavensangelwv said:Have you seen the movie We Are Marshall? If so, what did you think about it?
I have heard about the movie, or I have seen a preview, but don't really know much about it. I was not aware that Disney did not allow "God" to be said in its radio commercials, but I am not surprised. Disney has went downhill and continues to go downhill. It is no longer the great American company that it once was. Its moral fabric is unraveling.heavensangelwv said:Have you heard about the new Disney movie titled Ten Comandments?
