A true funny story....

My mother just told me about this. I hope I get this all right.

this happened a while back...

At a Hospital in Little rock,AR , My father talked briefly with a man at a hospital, in his 70's, who's wife was in terminal condition. Apparently, the elderly man's wife was a christian but he was lost. My father was able to witness to the man, however, dad had to leave and could not talk further with the man. (he was driving a family member home who was checking out after a surgery.)

Anyway, he said the Holy Spirit was really dealing with the elderly man. He asked the man if he would be interested in meeting with a pastor from the man's home town (Pine Bluff) and the man said yes.

After getting the man's information, he called a pastor friend of ours who lives in Benton,AR (Bro. Jim) to see if he knew any pastor's in Pine Bluff. Bro. Jim said "What hospital is he in?". My dad told him and he said "I'm on my way there now.". My dad said "Jim, are you're driving to Little Rock tonight?!"

Bro. Jim said "you better believe it. Man, that's like shooting fish in a barrel."



anyway, the man was saved that night.

I don't quite understand what's the humor in someone finding the Lord???
Have we gotten to the point of making light of others salvation? Have we gotten that cold? God Help us all.

Great story, Lucky_Skunk!

Isn't it wonderful that we can laugh and rejoice at how God works to bring others to Salvation. Even to find humor in a story about how someone came to Christ is certainly not making light of it. Rather, it is recognizing that we have a sense of humor because we are created in the image and likeness of God and, therefore, God must have a sense of humor as well.

Sometimes the Work is a struggle and sometimes God allows it to be "like shooting fish in a barrel."

Praise God for every soul He saves!
