  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Nature has always inspired me. I've been blessed to
have lived much of my life in the country, and loved
long adventure walks as a child.

My mom always grew a garden. One day, I saw a gold
speck sitting on a leaf. My 5 yr old mind thought it was
seeing an actual piece of gold. In my sheer excitement
I tried to pick it off, and it flew away. I was so
surprised, I cried. My mom explained it was a type of
lady bug. :)

I have always loved lady bugs. It is like having an old friend around when I see one. When I am in my garden and see them it brings back wonderful memories of me and my dad in the garden when I was a little lad. I have never seen a gold one though, that is really amazing. And I really enjoyed your story :)

I have alot of great memories of nature but one that always relaxes me is a time I went camping with a friend and his uncle on a tiny little island about the size of a football field, maybe smaller. As the sun was setting the sky was red and orange and the water was like a sheet of glass. Loons started calling, the frogs started croaking and a whippoorwill started to call too, and then the crickets joined in as well. All of them together was like natures orchestra.

Everything sounds good. I did not know golden ladybugs existed. I recall catching fireflies in a jar and using it as lantern in the dark. When I spent a summer up North the Northern Lights were amazing. Bands of waving color looking almost like rainbow candy at times. Ethereal.

The Orchestra you mentioned reminds me of being in the country hearing the frogs, crickets and such. Staying at our Grand Parents. Good times for sure.

I love nature, I live in AZ and we have incredible sunsets when clouds are present. Sometime God can show us things in the clouds. One time we were shopping, and there was a cloud over the mountains, and it was like God was showing me He was greater than any "mountain".:)
