How many times in our lives, is it obvious that the Lord is testing us? This happened to me the other night when I went to Pep Boys to purchase some items there. Pep Boys had a sale on their Penzoil synthetic motor oil; if one buys 5 quarts along with a specific Fram oil filter, it would only cost approximately $28.00. I also bought a product used to clean fuel injectors which cost approximately $8.00. When I went to pay for these items, I was calculating in my head that the total cost should be somewhere around $36.00 plus tax. The cashier said the total was only $25.00. I looked at him kind of funny when he said this, and paid him the $25.00 and exited the store with my purchase. When I returned home, I looked at my receipt and realized that he had only charged me for one quart of motor oil, instead of five.
The next day I decided to return to Pep Boys and let the manager know that his cashier had made a mistake and that I owed the store some more money. When I explained the whole situation of what happened to the manager, he was so pleased that I was honest, that he said for me to have a nice day, and don't worry about the money. He said that he would just remove 4 quarts of oil from his inventory to make his inventory balance out.
I walked out of the store with a big smile on my face realizing that the Lord had just blessed me for my honesty.
