  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Many times people post something that I am sorry about. Like or agree and none of the others really work in letting the person know that you are sorry they are feeling badly about something. A simple emoticon of sympathy is such an easy way to let them know you care rather then having to post a sympathy especially if you are not familiar with the poster. Especially if you don't have the time and you leave and never get back to it and sometimes you have no answer for them but you just want to let them know that you care.

Interesting idea. Do you mean emoticons/smilies, or the "ratings" seen at the bottom of all posts? As for Ratings, many people use the "prayers" rating or "friendly" (the heart) rating in that way.

That's why I thought of it as often prayers doesn't work. I'd like to see it in the ratings at the bottom of posts. "Friendly" doesn't really do it when you are sympathizing..
