A few months ago I awoke at 4:00am and had this urge to get up out of my bed and look out the back of a sliding glass door in my familys living area. As I'm staring out the window I see a faint light and think it must be my fathers room downstairs. I had an urge to go down in his room to check on him but I decided it best not to wake him up.
The next morning my father told me that around 4am he woke up and started praying in tounges. He said that as he was praying a bright light came torward him from his sliding glass door. I was amazed at all these things the Lord had done because my family has never had anything like this happen before. I asked him what it was like praying in tounges. He told me that he could hear in his mind what he was praying for but it was coming out of his mouth in its own form.
A few weeks before this happened I attended Church for the first time in a long time. I was one of those types of followers who didn't see a need to have a Church or attend one. Moths prior to deciding to go to Church I had a sudden appetite to read the Bible. I read like there was no tomorrow. I couldn't get enough or stop reading. For hours upon hours I sat in my bed at night reading and studying. I prayed and prayed to God during this time asking Him to make use of me and give me direction and strength. When I attended this Church I felt very dizzy and hot. My right ear popped as if I was in a decending airplane. I had never felt anything like what I had felt in that Church.
That night as I lay in bed thinking of many different things my friend called me up and told me that she had just got saved. So we talked a bit and I was amazed that this happened on the same day that I finally decided to attend Church. As I still lay there after finshing the phone conversation I heard a voice clearly say "Your ancestors are sinners but I will tear you down and build you up to be one of my most faithful followers."
This whole sequence of events still amazes me. If you ask God he will truly give you what you ask for. Now I'm trying my best to combat sin and become a better more faithful follower. What I want to be is someone who is useful to God. I don't know what my future holds but God does and I have faith that he will lead me well.
