• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A special thanks...

But, my feelings always come full circle when I read posts of other gays and some of you 'breeders' who support our position.

Breeders? Is that all we are seen to you?

"Thank you "Breeders" for your support, now go back to your caves and pop out us the next Oscar Wilde or Michael Stipes."

Are we just stud farm animals?

Has it returned to this?

Personally, I get my kicks by messing with homophobes.
I just moved to a really conservative Texas town. I get irritated by homophobia too (and here it is rampant). I was considering getting a shirt I saw in the men's section that said "You can be my OTHER girlfriend" and see how they responded to that. :)

I find things depressing, too. Particularly I lose faith in both man's character and intellectual capacity when I see there are so many who are either too small minded to conceive of the slightest, most remote possibility that someone could come to a different conclusion than them reasonably and without being evil, demonic, hateful monsters that have fangs and bloodshot eyes, looking to torture little babies, etc.; concurrently, they may recognize that inwardly, but are too juvenile to outwardly acknowledge it.

We love ya too:hug:
Remember, there is a difference between attacking ideas and attacking people. Am I also supposed to hold back from criticizing racists because they came to a different conclusion? I don't see the difference between homophobia and racism.

Then you probably do not see the difference between physical traits and behavior. As time goes by we see more and more studies finding people with SSA to be capable of inducing change within.

anyone can induce change within... it's the idea they are somehow obligated to by religious morals of other people that is offensive.

Re the use of the term 'breeders' to describe straight people: it is a really offensive term. I understand where it comes from, and the sense of separateness and persecuted minority frustration that spawns the use of it, but I still hate seeing it or hearing it. Besides which, it implies falsely that homosexual people don't have children, which isn't remotely true, but is another bit of propaganda used by the anti-gay brigade.

No, it is you who seem to not be able to see that difference. Being attracted to someone of the same sex instead of the opposite sex is not behavior, no matter how much you try to claim that it is.

Though perhaps since Christianity is something people actively choose (behavior), it should be alright to discriminate against them since they are always free to change religion. If you don't believe this is alright than you appear to be a hypocrite.

Sure that you don't mean that as time goes by we'll see more and more studies finding that SSA has a biological, and not behavioral, basis?

I guess somebody can't stand a little tongue-in-cheek humor.

Well maybe "somebody" is just annoyed at the continuous "alien" abductions and forced breeding programs. Those damn g"r"ays.

Namaste selfinflickted,

thank you for the post.

I would just like to take the opportunity to thank all of those in the E & M section who support homosexuals and gay rights.

i don't support rights for any particular group.. i support equal rights for all beings. there is no room for equivocation in my estimation nor does there seem to be any logical reason for such a view.

it seems that supporting restricted rights for some humans is immoral and unethical and demonstrates an appalling lack of compassion.

Sometimes, reading gay themed threads on this board can be pretty depressing with some of the more... hateful posters always seeming to voice their opinions the loudest.

that is often the case for bigots, if they can yell loud enough then even those that disagree with them are overwhelmed with the cacophony of vitriol spewing from their virtual mouths.

But, my feelings always come full circle when I read posts of other gays and some of you 'breeders' who support our position. It's really nice to know that some of you are on our side and to you all I give a great, big....

well... it's all selfish on my part... as soon as some groups are not given equal rights then other groups can easily follow and i'm not keen on having my rights taken away or curtailed so i support them for everyone!

not very altruistic of me but there it is.

metta,

~v
