  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A few years ago I was at my colleges orientation. I was locked outside of the dorm room I was staying in. I had left my swipe card in the room. There was an event that was starting soon that I needed to head to. Note the schools used these very big electronic locks that required a swipe card specific to the door. I knocked on the lock and the door unlocked and I was able to get inside. my room.

knock, and it will be opened, literally

I know it was the lord, because the locks on our doors are very strong

A very similar thing happened to me years ago. :) Minor miracles become expected over time serving God.

I have many similar experiences with God's providence. A major one happened as I parked in the Dentist's parking lot facing a brick wall. I went to my appointment. When leaving I pushed on the brakes to start the car and the brake pedal went to the floor. I had no brakes at all. If I had pushed on them for any reason before that, to miss a pedestrian, or to wait for a train, etc. I would have run into whatever it might have been.

I was with a small group of Christians gathered in a park for an event. The day was rainy and very cloudy so the minister asked us to gather and pray for the rain to stop. Upon finishing the prayer, the rain stopped and the sun broke through the clouds. :) The power of pure religion is impressive indeed!
