  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi there,

So this will be a new concept to you, at first, but after you have given it thought: it will give you broader spiritual horizons.
There are different kinds of rapture
A man can be raptured differently to a child; a child can be raptured differently to an animal. There are different orders and strengths and durations, all pertaining to the will of God. Some happened in the past - Moses seeing the back of God was a rapture - some will happen in the future - the Church will rejoice in the coming together of the many types of "rapture" as One. There are rapture that the Holy Spirit insists on - Balaam's donkey - and there are raptures that are optional - the Great White Throne Judgment.

Rapture is simply a coming together in Spirit, in a particular way, that adds strength to the already pre-existent faith, of those who believe.

I am not trying to argue for a particular rapture, I am enthused with all the Spirit can do, when we have faith in Him.

Sorry, but the very word "rapture" comes from the Latin scriptures and that comes from Paul's idea of being "caught" or snatched up. And that is exactly what Paul tells us will happen. It is not a word found in scripture except the Latin scriptures.
