CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are you able to contact his parents to inform them of his intentions? Maybe so he can get some help if it's not to late (I hope not)?

How about any friends that you may know of, where he lives? Even more drastically (but maybe necessary) the police if you have his address?

I have called the police before when he threatened, but they would likely dismiss me this time since when they have arrived before they were sent away and he said he was OK.

i don't know who you are, and not to be mean but i don't really care; but maybe this will help you in some way. well i've tried to kill myself too. but here's my story, and i thank God everytime i tell it. Well i was by my self this one day and i thought, this will be the perfect time to do it. so i went to the closet where we keep the medicine and looked in there and there were these pills originally perscribed to my mother, and they were black things too. but i thought there must be a different faster way, so i went into the kitchen and i got a steak knife. I had it to my wrist, and i used to have a scare from it but i don't, and the other thing was that i'm afraid of pain so i put the knife back, went back to the hall closet. There's no one in the house right and the black pills that i had left in the front of the closet so they were easy to get to were gone. I still think to this day that it was God who took those pills.
