a service

9:30 Sabbath school

Usually, you study a topic b4 hand (you can look up the topics online)...
Usually for young ppl they have a service (which includes talking about the "lesson" or topic for that week).

In the general sabbath school, you get there... and usually...

People sing a few worship songs
Prayer
Missionary story
Offerings (for the sabbath schools project) -Here many times theres a special music... or ppl sing a song-
Lesson study (usually ppl devide in small groups to talk about the topic of the week).
Prayer...

2nd Service:
Hymns
Prayer
Special part
Sermon (pastor speaking)
Hymn
prayer
Hymn (to walk out)

...Also, sometimes churches are more conservative (no clapping for example)... but sometimes in some SDA churches in the states they DO clap after a special music for example.
...The music changes from church to church as well, some are more conservative... some are more liberal.

...Sometimes after the 2nd service theres a pot luck... and they invite every1 to stay, even if they didnt bring any food.

You got to go and try it :) Hopefully theres a good SDA church in your area.

God Bless!:tutu:

So people will say hello?
That is actually quite important to me. If they aren't friendly, it doesn't matter how much I agree on doctrine and worship, etc.

You go and get a ticket and come over to our Church and we will more than say "hello"

We will invite you to stay for lunch and have a chat until well into the afternoon.

Every week it happens like that.

I just pray that you will get the same friendly welcome as we give to those that visit out Church.

Every church has its own dynamics. In this part of the states there are about 10 Seventh-day Adventist churches to choose from. Each is about the same distance from my home.

One is uppity; only those with money are "welcome" in their group.
One is for those without much money.
One is for only blacks.
One is for only whites.
One is traditional.
One is progressive.
One does not have a pastor.
One has a part-time pastor.
One does not use nominating committees.
One is friendly.
One is less friendly.

And each of them is filled with loving persons who want to serve the Lord, but struggle through the journey and make mistakes along the way.

You may not have as many choices as we do here. Remember that each church has its own dynamics, and that the dynamics are ever-changing (even from Sabbath to Sabbath). One visit may not be enough to determine if it meets your needs.

Another thing to think of (if they don't seem to be friendly) is that they may not know if you're a visitor or not. In a large church, it is easy to assume that you're with someone else, or that you've been attending for some time and have your own sub-group within the larger church with whom you socialize.
