A Resolve From the Start

This is something I wrote as a song but it can stand alone as well. It is sad at first because it begins with where I was when I hit bottom regarding self-harm. However, the second half is about having a resolve to get better and finding that God is truly the place "to end and begin". This Post isn't meant to last long just to encourage others to keep going because there is always hope with God.

THE JOURNEY​

I see the results but I don't remember.
I stand alone in this cold dark place;
where there is a hurt so deep it has no name.​

I have not tears nor ever have.
And the friend for all my life no longer helps,
but makes me feel all the worse.​

My mind rages on. My insides tremble.
And my heart is loaded with guilt.​

Thank you for the kind words. I entered this thread as encouragement. Last year at this time things were so bad I was ready to die. But the Lord God intervened and provided people and a place to save me from myself. The devil really did try to kill me on the way there. I had driven that same route for six years to see my sick father without a problem. But that time, I fell asleep at the wheel going 65mph and rolled the truck four times missing a river by 24 feet. When I woke up, I was upside down and the only part of the truck that was not caved in completely was a small bubble around me. GOD KEPT ME ALIVE! The place I went to for treatment was not christian, yet all of the staff said this, "God wants you to live. He kept you alive. So, you could get better because He has a plan for your life." Imagine that coming from people who don't even care about God!
The Lord did save my life and not from only an accident. But from my self-abuse and I remember how I felt last year at this time - which is the beginning of this song. The last half is so true. God is the place to end and begin. And there is always hope, and that is something to remember and believe.
