I'm from connecticut, and might be moving to greenville, South Carolina, and I have a question. First some and info. I'm neither republican or democrat; I like neither's policies 100 percent. In fact, I've never voted. Anyway, I really don't like Bush, but as I said, I'm going to be moving into the very center of the bible belt, where most people love him. WIll this be a problem? Please discuss. Thanks

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There's people who are Republicans and Democrats and other groups in Greenville. People disagree on a lot of stuff and politics is a biggy. What's important is not that you disagree, it's how you present what you have to say. As long as you are nice about it and give actual facts, I don't see a problem.

Dude, dont worry about political agendas, you will be fine. Just dont discuss politics with anyone. Im a hardcore conservative and I dont care if someone is a democrat, thats their thing, no matter how wrong i think their beliefs are Im not gonna be a jerk to them for that. It wont be an issue unless you make it one, so dont worry about it. People down here are laid back.

People that live in Greenville are no different than people who live in Connecticut, maybe just dialect. You will find differences in political beliefs in both places. Like Jacob posted, as long as you don't try to shove anything down someone's throat whether you're in Greenville or Connecticut there should be no problem. Greenville is one of the larger cities in SC and because of that it draws people from all over for business. You could prolly do a website search for all political parties in the Greenville area or contact the one you mainly go for and get better input that way.

Hey circa02. I live about 20 minutes from Greenville. It is also where I work. Like Red said...we are not much different than anyone else here. We are mostly Rebublican,but we have Democrates also. We are passionate about our veiws but are also understanding and willing to debate. As far as our dialect...well...ya'll come on down,ya hear. If I can help you out just let me know.

Hey , we are just like you . Ashamed of all of them . I'm 57 and can't even remember a *JUST* man that was worth *MY* vote after I got old enough. By the way, sometimes I have been known to *WAFFLE* back and forth. Has any body seen a just man running for any office ?

Politics here is little to nothing, I live about 70 or so miles from Greenville although I attend Clemson University. The real choice comes between whether or not you're a USC or Clemson fan. Good times there.

Georgia Rule in the South. SEC Champions for a reason. I almost would pull for Clemson over USC becuase i despise spurrier, but my love for the SEC is stronger than my dislike for spurrier.
