As I understand it, this is the "Charismatic" version of "Dominion Theology"

My question is what do the "Kingdom Now" folks believe about "Replacemant Theology" and the "Rapture"

Thanks

The answer to your question is:

Kingdom Now folks DO believe in replacement theology, but DO NOT believe in the rapture.

---

'Kingdom Now' and 'Dominion Theology' are two different names for the same belief.

Of course, no two Dominionists agree exactly on what Dominionism should look like, so some branches may prefer one name over the other, but it's the same theology.

To believe in Dominionism/Kingdom Now, you have to be post-millennial or a-millennial (unless you are confused :D, which plenty are). All post and A-mills believe in 'replacement theology'.

If you beleive in Dominionism and are pre-millennial or don't believe in 'replacement theology', this is an inconsistent theology. You are either confused about what Dominionism is, or what pre-millenialism or replacement theology is.

---

Those who are Dominionist:
Would be post-mill or a-mill and would believe in replacement theology

Those who are pre-mill:
Do not believe in replacement theology or Dominionism.

No doubt there's a few exceptions out there, but as I said, their theology would be inconsistent and not mainstream.

The 'rapture' is a belief only held by pre-millennial believers.

---

Interestingly, most churches (USA) believe in 'replacement theology'.

Including:

Catholic
Methodist
Lutheran
Episcopal
Presbyterian
Greek Orthodox
Mormon
Jehovah's Witness

Islam (of course)

Hence, the persecution of the Jews by the Church throughout history

Notable churches that are NOT 'replacement theology':

Baptist
Church of God
AoG
and other Pentecostal

peace,
Simon

The End Times

There are two main views of the end times: (roughly)

1. Pre-Millennial: The return of Christ is before - pre - the 1000 years

The world will get more wicked, much of the church will be deceived, The nation of Israel will largely return to God and accept Christ, the Antichrist will appear, much of the world will be destroyed, then Christ will return. After Christ returns He will reign for 1000 years.

2. Post-Millennial (and a-millennial to a lesser extent) : The return of Christ is after - post - the 1000 years

This is the 1000 years (not a literal 1000 years) reign of Christ right now. The church will grow in power and influence, and will be a light to the nations. The church is Israel. There will be great revivals and more and more miracles. There will be struggles within the church, and troubles in the world, but the church will overcome and be a blessing to the world, the kingdom of God will reign on earth and then Christ will return to judge the living and then dead.

peace,
Simon

I would suggest listening to this interview with Dr. Dave Reagan about this issue to help a bit. It's entertaining and worth the time.

Thanks Faulty and Simon, I just listened to the interview with Reagan.

I have always thought the people who think we can set things perfectly straight BEFORE Jesus comes, are off track, because HE is the one to come and settle this mess. all we are to do is take this gospel to everyone we can reach.

So faulty, as I see your explanation, the ones in the "Kingdom Now" movement, embrace the belief that the Church has replaced Israel in God's plan, is that right ?

I guess I have never heard any of them speak against Israel, and that's why I'm a little surprised.

In a manner of speaking.

That particular theology doesn't read the end time scripture with the realization that the last 7 years are centered around Israel, and specifically wrapping up the 70-weeks prophecy in Daniel 9 which in currently incomplete and was decreed for the Jews and Jerusalem specifically (Dan 9:24).

So they may not actually be "against" Israel on an individual basis, but rather may be more neutral and just sees their reformation as an accident of history, and therefore ignore them concerning any remaining prophetic business
