She is free to marry another means the marriage law is still a valid rule for a man and a woman. I agree that she is free from that which bound her to the first marriage because her husband died but not free from the marriage law altogether. In other words, she would still have to get married to another man or she would be committing adultery with him. In the same way we are free from the condemning power of the Law under the first covenant but not the Law itself, it's still wrong to violate the Ten Commandments and it's still right to obey them.

Now you need to stop ignoring all the NT verses that speak of the Ten Commandments as being alive and well.

I don't want you to avert the subject you introduced. Is it your contention that you're unable to love anyone because you haven't complied with the Sinai covenant?

Godly love is defined by God's Law. If a man and woman love each other and have a sexual relation is that a godly love or an ungodly love? If God says worshiping idols means you hate Him is that a godly love if you worship idols.

Exodus 20:4-5 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Help me out here because this is way too simple.

Why then are you bound to the dead corpse of the law and continue committing adultery by claiming two husbands?
In the same way we are free from the condemning power of the Law under the first covenant but not the Law itself, it's still wrong to violate the Ten Commandments and it's still right to obey them.
Why can't you read the posts directed to you? The point has been established that you don't obey the ten commandments.
Now you need to stop ignoring all the NT verses that speak of the Ten Commandments as being alive and well.
You could well be charged for ignoring the commandments of God by failing to cast out the covenant from Sinai.

Godly love is defined by God's Law.
This remains a thesis you have no support for.
If a man and woman love each other and have a sexual relation is that a godly love or an ungodly love? If God says worshiping idols means you hate Him is that a godly love if you worship idols.
Remember that the brazen serpent God had Moses erect (Numbers 21:8) had itself become an idol (2 Kings 18:4), and was taken down. You have done the same thing with the first covenant dictated at Sinai, and have "changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever" (Romans 1:25 LIT).

I'm married to Jesus and because He removed the curse of being under the old covenant I am now free to obey God without fear of condemnation.

Realize that your testimony is inconsistent with your actions, and that you have violated 4 of the ten commandments in this thread alone.

This appears as another questionable view of the scriptures.

Well, here is my understanding of those text as written in 3 of the 4gospels.......
The narrative does not convey that the rich young rules did not love his neighbor or fell short on violating any of the 10 commandment. (on the contrary)

It was the rich young ruler who asked Jesus ; What shall I do to obtain eternal life?

The reason Jesus ask him to give his wealth to the poor was in order for a career change that would lead him to eternal life; "follow me".
Christ was calling this man to forget the cares that wealth brings on earth and start building eternal wealth by following Him.
Christ told him directly "desolve your empire and give the money to the poor, that will earn you treasures in heaven," but following Christ is what will earn you eternal life."

The lesson goes on to teach us about how the hard it is for a rich man to enter God's kingdom because the rich man is more occupied with his own business and not God's.

Your commentary caused you to judge a man who claims to love his neighbor and keep all the law as a failure.... The texts prove that following Jesus is necessary for eternal life.
