evolutionary theory is a question of means, the how.
like the boat, helicopter in the joke, or the people's vehicles and the highways out of town in the news article.

i'd propose that each of the people above thought that they were exercising faith, like the YECists believe that they are exercising a Biblical faith, when in fact what they are doing is falling prey to the error of fideism. by separating the Bible from Creation, by divorcing hermeneutics from scientific epistemology they have built a Manichean world where faith is opposed to reason and rationality. like those staying behind in the hurricanes path, they are irrational not faithful. foolish not Biblically wise, for they neglect the evidence of their own eyes in the creation and retreat into a separatist, isolationist mentality. rather than engage metaphysical prophets like Dennett and Dawkins on the religious/metaphysical level they argue about the color of the boats that they will not even take to escape the wrath of the storm.

I understand the feeling behind this, but if it was meant as sarcasm then I don't see the point.

He can start new threads, make such statements about us YECs, that is fine. Let's not allow him or anyone else to encourage us to act in a way that is not Christ like.
