It takes an act of faith to turn one's back on evolution; but it can be done.

You are a Homo Sapiens. How'd your faith work out on me calling you that? You can refuse to accept that you are a Homo sapiens but you cannot refuse to be called one. As evidenced by me calling you one just a couple of sentences ago.

2 Peter 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

I guess if I was writing something that I knew was hard to believe, but that I wanted people to swallow, I'd build in some statements like that too. It's basic Snake Oil Salesman technique.

Evolution will not be disproved in this dispensation, but will in fact wax worse and worse, culminating in the Tribulation period under the Antichrist (False Scientist).

Disproving evolution is a task that Jesus Christ will perform Himself, when He comes back.

By "worse and worse" you mean more and more accepted, I suppose.

Just like the idea of the earth rotating as the cause of day and night . . . it will come along in public consciousness regardless of the pronouncements of religious objectors. Because people are able to tell it rings true.

You know, even while you continue to deny evolution, you've got a coccyx. Sure looks like a vestigial tail. Some people say its actually very useful, a nice invention for us. But strangely, no animal that has a true tail ever has a coccyx in addition. Only us tailless apes have them . . . the gorillas, the chimps, us . . .

I always found this passage interesting, while written records dating back at least at ++ 500 years ago, it sounds like some form of medical procedure:

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:21-22

caused a deep sleep to fall upon - anesthesia
opened the flesh - incision
took one rib - collect tissue sample
closed up the flesh - sutures

But what could the LORD have been doing with the tissue from a rib?

People "martyr" themselves for a wide variety of ridiculous reasons. If those reasons impress you, might we assume you consider the actions of those who fly airplanes into buildings to be laudable examples of true faith?

Or were those men also taken in by a different Snake Oil salesman?

And why would He need to come down and perform an operation when he can instantly creat the millions of species (male and female presumably) on earth with just a word or however he did it. Sounds like an afterthought to me, didn't he realize Adam would need a female partner? A literal reading of Genesis must take some mental contortions to rationalize.
