You have agreed with my summary that the Thalidomide issue was one of a scientist trying to keep a drug company from distributing that, as it turns out harmful, drug in the US. So, why do you bring it up as if it is some kind of vilification of scientists in general?
It appears Rick doesn't mind you guys asking me questions about Thalidomide, but I'm sure if I were to answer you, his selective spirit would kick in and I would get another CEASE & DESIST from him....which, according to your mythology, a supposedly all-loving God commanded with intent, mind you.
Compare this to some accidental cases of deformity that occurred due to incomplete research, which only ended up making people aware of necessary precautions in the end.
Big difference between "I made a mistake, therefore I will kill everyone" and "We accidentally deformed people and it was a horrible mistake that we learned from"
