have any of you experienced eggwhite cervical fluid days before you're supposed to be getting your period?

i'm currently on Day 39 of my cycle (yes, i know, i have ridiculously long cycles). i had eggwhite cervical fluid on Days 22 and 23, and i had the temperture shift on Day 24. my tempertures have stayed above my coverline ever since then, so i know that i ovulated. i'm on Day 15 of my leutal phase, and still no period, but eggwhite cervival mucus again!!

i took a pregnancy test today and it was negative, but it doesn't look like i'm getting my period anytime soon. i know that my leutal phase is supposed to last 12-16 days, which means that if i don't get my period tomorrow, then it's likely not coming. we timed intercourse to the day before i ovulated when i had eggwhite cervical fluid, so the chance that i conceived is great, but my wet/creamy/thick cervical fluid never dried up.

anyway... have any of you experienced this? what are your thoughts? i would call my ob/gyn to get her opinion, but most doctors aren't really all that skilled in NFP and don't really belive in it, for obvious reasons. i know that if i still haven't gotten my period by Day 18 after ovulation, then i'm most likely pregnant, but i'm just beyond confused by the eggwhite cervical fluid showing up this late in the game.

I see three possible options.

1. you are pregnant (get another test) fluid can continue throughout pregnancy.

2. you didn't ovulate, even though your temp shifted. Are you stressed?

3. it's a fluke. This has happened to me. I have been dry after ovulation and then a few days before my period was due I had a small amount of fluid.

I guess all you can do is wait and see. Good luck!
