A Prayer for the Lonely

Dear Father

At this time of year when many people are celebrating Christmas with their family, I pray for those who are less fortunate

- For those who are in prison
- For those whose partners may have died this year
- For those whose partners have debilatating disease
- For those who are sleeping rough on the street
- For those who are being abused
- For those who just don't have family

May God help us to think about them at this time of year

Amen and Amen! Father, I stand in complete agreement with this prayer and I give You thanks and praise for the blessings others of us have of family, both biological and spiritual. Thank You for Your grace and mercy and for Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us that we may know the joy of salvation and a Spiritual Family, and in whose Name we are ever privileged to pray. This Christmas, God is really putting my heart and mind on people who are alone for Christmas. The Simple Plan, thank you for this thread, I am in agreement with your prayer.

I was thinking about this prayer last night and thought of others

- Those who attend our church and feel unincluded(?)
- Those youth who are alone in that they cannot communicate with their parents
- Those who are divorced or living in a loveless marriage
- Those who are gay, have surrendered their desires to God, but are still lonely and missing affection from others


God help us to remember them all
