He's the Christian, I am the "non-believer." Our marriage has worked because I respect and support his beliefs and he does the same for me. I go to church with him, he asks about the current New Age book I'm reading and what it talks about. I am here because I am wondering about Christianity and if it is for me, he has no idea and has never asked nor encouraged me to become Christian.

So it can work, as long as one person does not try to convert the other, ridicule the other's beliefs and the two support each other.

Neither of us are Christians but I'm converting to Judaism while he remains an atheist Non-Jew. It works pretty well for us. Our future children will be Jews so they will be raised as Jews. I think people of different religious faiths can get along in many situations. Others...not so much. It just depends on the people and the religions.

I am in total agreement :) Unconditional love, respect, and support of my better half is in my job description of "wife", and vice versa. Neither of us are religious, and we plan on raising any children that we are blessed with to think critically and come to their own conclusions about the world around them.
