No, it is on topic because creationism and theistic evolution is associated with belief in Diety while agnostic/atheistic evolutionism is not.

It is irrelevant because both theistic evolution and atheistic evolution accept evolution. There are also philosophies that reject both evolution and the Christian God.

Other. To acknowledge god as the creator, I would first have to believe it exists. Since I don't, I can't very well acknowledge it, can I?

Well, no. YEC, OEC and Theistic evolution all posit that God created the universe and all it contains. They merely differ on his methods and his timing. Theistic evolution accepts that the Theory of Evolution accurately describes how the diversity of life arose, the other two deny it.

There are also other religious creationist traditions that deny the Christian God but also deny evolution.

Both Theistic and Atheistic evolution posit that man evolved from

1) Some unknown primitive form of life, possibly a cell but possibly some simple self-replicating molecule.

2) More complex unicellular life, including eukaryotes

3) Colonial organisms

4) Multicellular organisms

5) Primitive invertebrates

6) Fish

7) Tetrapods

8) Primitive reptiles

9) Early synapsids

10) Early primates

11) A primate where humans split from the other Great Apes, possibly Proconsul Africanus.

12) Australopithecines, particularly the gracile varieties.

13) Homo Habilis

14) Homo erectus

15) Homo sapiens , i.e. Modern Man.

Neandertal man is not in our direct ancestry. Evolution also does not address how life could have arisen from non-life. Whether it formed on its own from primodial soup or was "poofed" there by a god, the Theory of Evolution is unaffected.

Could you now explain how, given that:

• There exist theological views consonant with both the Christian creator God and evolution; and
• Theological views that deny both evolution and the Christian God

No.

Basic creationism is embraced by all Christians, who acknowledge God as Creator.

Creationism as it has unfortunately become to be known is not so basic, but a convolution of really bad science, hermeunetics and theology (which is why I call it neo-creationism, to distinguish it from orthodox, traditional Christian belief).

That last bit is too reminiscent of Hovind's 'goo to you' nonsense and ought not be left to stand.

Neither TEs nor agnostics/atheistics accept that particular mis-portrayal of modern evolutionary science.

Among both groups I think you would be surprised to discover the diversity of opinion on the origin of life (which is distinct from the origin of the species).

I was going to vote yes, but if this is your definition of the creator I am going to have to vote no. I believe in an architect that created the universe via natural processes but obviously this doesn't fit into your definition.
