The World:

For my love who doesn’t love me back

I will seek you patiently
Though it feels as though my heart
Is constantly being ripped apart
From the moment I wake up
Until the moment I fall asleep
It never ends.

I will seek you unconditionally
Though you don’t love me back
And though it seems you don’t desire
To be with me even once in a while
Any moment I can spend with you
Is worthwhile.

I will seek you passionately
For all of my passion is only for you
I have no energy for anything else
Whatever I enjoyed in the past
Can never take my mind from you
The only thing I want
Is to be with you.

I will seek you sacrificially
Though I may never have you
I will give everything I have
And lay my heart upon the altar
Use all of the best years of my life
To have you love me

The Truth:

To no avail
A sacrifice unto an idol
With no power to fulfill.

Seek God
Patiently
Unconditionally
Passionately
Sacrificially
As He has sought you.

His love restores my heart without end
He spends every moment with me
His passion is for His people
He loved me before I knew Him
And placed Himself upon the altar
For those who did not love Him back
That He might change their wicked hearts
And make alive those who were dead.
