A pet peeve.

Don't you just hate it when the radio hosts starts your favourite song, but before lyrics start, he keeps yabbering some stupid **** and eventually overlaps into lyrics, so you only hear 3/4 of a song.

That is so unprofessional.

Our radio hosts over here in Australia are pretty sensible when it comes to that stuff - they shut up just before the lyrics start...but I wouldn't be too peeved if it was a few seconds of overlap.

Back when I used to listen to the radio, that used to bother me so much. Not much of a radio-listener anymore, though, so I can't really complain

What I did hate was when the host begins playing a song you really like, but it turns out it's only BACKGROUND MUSIC to the host speaking and ends up stopping before lyrics begin and goes to commercials. *Slams head on desk*

Recently, a favourite guitar song of mine was on the radio ... Parisienne Walkways by Gary Moore and not only did the radio host yabber all the way through the opening guitar solo but actually spoke through the one very long note that Gary plays in the middle. I emailed him and told him what I thought, mentioned that it's actually against broadcasting rules to speak once a song has begun, having done a bit of Hospital Radio I know that's a fact and that he was being unprofessional. I heard nothing back which is not surprising really.

what i really hate is that they hardly ever announce the songs they play. i mean... i hear a really good song on the radio which is a very rare occasion, i listen all the way to the end to hear what it was... and then it goes straight to ads or into another song that wasn't even near as good as the other one... I HATE RADIO ADS!

Yeah. That's one of the most annoying things in the world. I don't think they do that too much on the radio stations that I listen to, but I have heard them do it.

here, they used to play these stupid dance mix things all night long on saturday nights. they stopped doing that becuase so many people hated it but now they play old school on tuesday nights. its really old school and i never know wat in the heck is on the radio.

I get where you're comming from but I tend just to ignore them....unless it's my favortie song...then it really erks me.
