If someone from the occult got saved by Jesus Christ and yet still spoke in babbling tongues that comes with no interpretation, how can anyone in the church believed he had repented if he is still speaking the same way as he did before in the occult if God's gift of tongues can be used as a prayer language?
If that former occultic saved believer in Jesus Christ tried to witness the Good News to his buddies in the occult, how could his buddies believe that he has changed and departed from the occultic practises in coming to Christ Jesus if they see that he is still speaking in the supernatural tongues that they speak in? Wouldn't they doubt his sincerity?
This is a Pentecostal/Charismatic conundrum when they assume that because God's gift of tongues which is of other men's lips to speak unto the people, comes with no interpretation, then it is a prayer language.
Feel free to give an answer for this conundrum if you have one after reading the following scripture below.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
1 John 4:1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world....5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness....24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
