There are some that are trying to put a guilt trip on those of us that have voted for a split. They are trying to say that we are following the devil by doing this.

I think this kind of talk is totally inappropriate, as it is highly manipulative.

I am asking those of you that are doing this to stop it now. Unless you are willing to come before all of us and tell us that God has anointed you as a prophet, and that this is His message for us, I suggest you not say these things, because you don't know for sure that God even wants us to be united in this way.

Just as you can produce passages in the Bible that speak of union among God's people, passages can be disclosed that tell us to stay away from false prophets and heretical teachings.

So if you have the gift of prophecy, and would like to stand up to the test of a prophet, then come forward. But if you don't, I suggest you stop trying to make us feel guilty, and stop assuming us to be giving in to the devil because we don't agree with your vote.

I know that some people are wanting a safe place for their views (Night, you), but that will occur in the two subforums once this process is complete.

Splitting the forum won't do anything to help the problem. And will, I think, actually make the problem worse.

The influence that is being used on this issue is playing on the oldest weakest link in the book, emotions, just like Adam let emotions decide what he should do when Eve gave him the apple, so many are bitting into this fruit....

Nothing is gained by it as there is no way to see who is one label or the other, unless you start the 'Adventist version of the Inquisition' and start the 'trials' to see who are the 'heretics'. Mark my words, that is where this leads to, and eventually will hurt the innocents until the feverish emotions are spent..........

No one is trying to kick anyone out that wants to belong. There are some that do nothing but complain about our church and its doctrine. These people don't belong here. They need to have their own forum where they can complain all they want to. But their complaining is not welcome in here.

A lot of people have been driven awayu from this forum because of such people, and there are some that would like to come in here, but won't because of these people. We should not deny them of their right to come in here and fellowship with those of us that are happy to be members of the SDA church. The people that aren't happy about our church need to go find another one instead of complaining all the time about it.

Right now only a couple of 'progressives' want to split the forums. Sure, they won't come and fellowship with you. The rest of us, however, will. That includes people like myself who have been asked not to post in the traditional forums.

You can't call it an SDA forum if you don't allow SDA members to post.

I think you are taking this too far. This is a forum. There are all kinds of SDA forums all over the internet. having the Progressives have their separate forum is not going to bring our church to ruins. LOL

The traditional forum would not be allowed to be called the SDA forum. In fact, I don't think it could even claim to be a forum for people who agree with all 28 fundamental beleifs.

All the denial in the world does not take away what folk have TRULY felt as an hinderance by zealous folk.....

It is because we care about people that we want them to receive the right doctrine, and not be belittled by those that despise the SDA church, while claiming to be members of it.

I think you have a valid point here. The problem is that we don't have that moderation yet, and making up FSB rules is taking too long.

It doesnt take a gift to see to see emotions in play escalated to a split, even if done with good intentions.......
