Subject: The sharing of marriage...
The sharing of marriage...
The old man placed order for one hamburger, French
fries and a drink.
He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it
in half, placing one
half in front of his wife.
He then carefully counted out the French fries,
dividing them into two piles
and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.
He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and
then set the cup down
between them . As he began to eat his few bites of
hamburger, the people
around them were looking over and whispering.
Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple -
all they can afford is
one meal for the two of them.'
As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to
the table and politely
offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The
old man said, they were
just fine - they were used to sharing everything.
People closer to the table noticed the little old lady
hadn't eaten a bite.
She sat there watching her husband eat and
occasionally taking turns sipping
the drink.
Again, the young man came over and begged them to let
him buy another meal
for them. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you,
we are used to
sharing everything.'
Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his
face neatly with the
napkin, the young man again came over to the little
old lady who had yet to
eat a single bite of food and asked 'What is it you
are waiting for?'
She answered
(Continue below - This is great)
'THE TEETH.'

That is so funny hubby and I got a real laugh from it.

*chuckles, hoping I never have to share quite THAT much with my mate!*

Mmmmm . . I like that . . "Upgrade to the Highest Power"

I agree that is a bit TOO CLOSE.

I'm not really new, but it has been a while since I've been here. I used to mod this forum when I newly turned 50 (I think I was the only over-the-hill mod back then), but when the reforms came, I was given the boot from this forum and I have really only peeked in since.

So Hi! Nice to see you all. I have some different lifestyle situations from most of you (I have two still-growing up children while most of you are probably on grandchildren) but it will be fun to visit and see what I have forward to. LOL.

My children are all grown up youngest 21 but still have three out of four at home and I am 59 so I think I can relate New Dawn.

Well, welcome back, A New Dawn.

Dawn, great to see you posting

Welcome back A New Dawn!

Hi Buttercup and Amadeus and Kaykay

Good Morning. This is my first time here. My daughter got me started on CF a month ago and I like this a lot. We try to stay close with our reps and blessings. I have a grandson with autism who is going to be 6 June 1st. I'm blessed to be able to see him just about every weekend. They live about an hr. away. He is a joy! Full of Love and also a handful sometimes to handle. I hope everyone has a great Friday. I'm off to work soon.
I have a special needs son still living at home and I work in that field. I love it.

Welcome, missmsdancearama! I hope you like CF and hang around some. Many of us are addicted to it and spend most of our lives here. LOL. ^_^ Hope you find a happy balance.
AMEN

Hello, Yes I'm having fun at CF. I do find myself here a lot, but I like talking to others from other parts of the world. I'm still trying to find all the dressup contest and to figure out how to make changes to my charactor. I do have KittyStorm to help when I can't figure it out myself. I hope you all have a great weekend

It takes time to sort out at first especially finding the exact location of wanted items but it comes with time. Keep at it. The contests help I think with getting more adept at the whole process.

Anyway so great to see you all today. Guess what? the weather man actually was correct and we had SNOW here last night. It is still on my back lawn and covering my blooming Rhododendrons. Quirky. :) Peace Jan

I'm so sorry you got snow. We had a little rain this morning. I just got finished pulling a little of the dead branches of the rose bushes and pickup of dead plants. I'm trying to get the ground ready to plant more flowers in a couple of weeks. That's if my back and legs can take it.

Dear Sis' missms'

Can I please be of help ?

How? can I be of help to you ?

Do you have PARTICULAR IMAGES on your PC or,
in the internet, that you wish to show here ?

Please explain your need [as best you can]
and I will post a 'step by step'
that will make it possible for you to do this

You have pics/ images in My Pictures Folder in MY DOCUMENTS ?

You RIGHT CLICK any open space on your desktop
a small menu will open
in the list of tools click on NEW

another small menu will open
click on Folder
A New Folder will be created on your desktop
in the text box beneath it
is a highlighted name NEW FOLDER and the cursor is flashing in it ?
Now, type: Images for upload
and either LEFT CLICK anywhere else on the desktop
or, press ENTER key

You have now made the first step
to sharing your images

You will now put some pictures in this folder

go to START and left click it
at the top of the menu that slides open ?
Find MY PICTURES in that list ?
if, you dont see MY PICTURES click on MY DOCUMENTS
in this window you will see a bunch of, YELLOW folders
MY PICTURES is one of these
double click the folder to OPEN it

your pictures in this folder can be shown in several ways
ie: in a text list... as icons with file details
or, as THUMBNAILS [small versions of the pics]

Thumbnails, provide INSTANT recogntion to you
as-opposed to say; something like: P1032233.jpg

In the My Pictures Folder
to the far-right of, the top bar
under the tooltips
FILE EDIT VIEW FAVOURITES TOOLS HELP
is an icon with little images on it

CLICK the down arrow beside it
and see a dropdown menu
¬
THUMBNAILS
TILES
ICONS
LIST
DETAILS

left click on THUMBNAILS

and your images will be displayed in-miniature

As we are going to post to PHOTOBUCKET [first]
we dont have to be concerned about filesize

CHOOSE a pic you wish to show 'here'

right click it and CHOOSE COPY
minimize the My PICTURES folder by clicking the '-'
at the top right, of, the folders window

Now, on your desktop, find the new folder you made
and called: Images for upload

right-click the folder and choose PASTE
this will transfer the COPY of your pic into the folder

Next.... you will need a photobucket account

If you do not already have one
It is dead simple to REGISTER an ACCOUNT with them for FREE

Type into your browser SEARCH BAR

http://www.photobucket.com

or, just click on the link I have given above

you will now go to Photobucket

On Photobuckets Main Page
click on the +* symbol? next to the star
at the top of this window
and
ADD the photobucket page to My FAVOURITES
this way,
you can always find a link for it right-away
: by clicking on the star at the top of this window
and clicking on FAVOURITES tab in the menu
that opens below it

Now, click on REGISTER / JOIN NOW
and follow the prompts
and complete your details where shown
REMEMBER your USERNAME and PASSWORD

AFTER JOINING and signing-in to Photobucket
you will create/ name, an album
on the left side pane of the window

on the right side of the window [near the top]
you will FIND an upload pane
with three BROWSE tabs
under which
is the text link " add more "

Click one of them [browse]

in the left pane of the window that will open
click first, on DESKTOP and in the left window pane
click second, on the folder Images for upload

When, you have selected the Images for upload folder
The list of pictures in it, will be shown in the right window
if they are not displayed as little images
select the THUMBNAILS OPTION as described above
ie: from the ICON on the top bar ?

all you need to do is doubleclick that image
as photobucket will link to that picture
and will UPLOAD IT FOR YOU
when you click on UPLOAD
ie: below those three BROWSE TABS is the UPLOAD button

The upload may take a few minutes to upload the image
WHILE IT IS BUSY DOING THAT ?
Do NOTHING-ELSE with your computer
as that, may interupt the uploading

When, uploading is finished ?
Photobucket will show you a banner stating:

Image have been successfully uploaded

WHEN.... you see this banner ?
scroll down EACH page to the bottom
AND
CLICK on SAVE AND CONTINUE
This saves the pictures > ON EACH PAGE
into the album you created

Search the album
To the right, or below each of, the image
you will see several [4] urls
these are Uniform Resource Locator links [addresses]
to your files

click on the lowest of these links to copy it to your clipboard

come here to GE
right click the message input screen and select paste

then click SUBMIT MESSAGE

THEN you will have achieved your wish to post a pic here

IT ISNT DIFFICULT
It is very similar to visiting a shop in another area

? now where was it ?.... how do I get there ?where is the till ?

ONCE you have been there a couple of times
you will be wiser than before ?

Any problems ? PM me

I am tempted to get my camera out and do a onscreen walkthrough
SOON!

your Bro'

Hi Bro' Amadeus

You sure are, very-welcome Bro'

I am presently considering,
setting up a step by step of, the various ways
of adding images to GE messages
[with pictures of, desktop / webpages of, and, at each stage]

It will, of-course, give me MORE to do
with; useful purpose
ie: teaching/ spreading knowledge of, this
and various PC clean-up operations

I envisage 'something'
along the lines of, the fashion shows I have done, here
Once printed off, it would be ready to support
the people, that need it most
As I have already said... 'practice' is all that is needed
for, that, creates EXPERIENCE
Wisdom, follows 'experience' like ducklings follow Mommy Duck

I know what she means. I am the same way. If I do something over and over again. I end up remembering. But when I only do it once in a while. I don't remember. That's why I have KittyStorm around.

The next step by step
is how to
prepare images for attachment direct, from your PC
into CF Attachments
and from there into your messages here

Hello.
Not new to CF and lurked Golden Eagles for a while. My usual forum is being re-arranged so if it's OK, I'd like to hang out here for a while.
