I am not photogenic in my old age. I used to be much more so. I know some quite plain looking people that show up beautifully in photos. I am not sure what it is. Jan

I would let God be the judge of that dear Sis

My 'ex' had some very nasty descriptions for the way I looked [in her eyes]
Mind you she was nine and a half years my junior

:)

Besides.... you, are stuck with it
so it would be advantageous and comforting
were you to be more 'grateful' for His 'grace'
and ENJOY that which you have been given

Remember Angelwind a photo could never capture who you truly are and your beauty lies in the sum total of all your gifts temporal and spiritual not just the physical image frozen in a moment of time. Peace Jan
Wise words...I was feeling so good on the inside that day...full of the joy of the Lord and loving people...looking to do a kind deed...my picture was a shock to me...I have heard there are no mirrors in heaven

When I look at my friends they are always beautiful.

Yes...
but do I hear 'appreciation'
or, 'comparison'
~ some 'judgemental-comparison' perhaps
Would this, not,
be, covetousness/ envy/ jealousy ?

I have always imagined the folks I've met on here (without benefit of picture) to be beautiful. I think that is one plus about the internet. You come to know people from the inside out.
Some of the most beautiful people I have ever known were weathered and worn to a frazzle, but the beauty of their souls took the place of anything remotely unattractive. And I am not just saying that. I am seriously honest.
One of my great hopes is that others see me in the same light.
It's always amazed me that no one of us has ever seen Christ. But could He be anything less than perfect in all ways?
And I'm sure He is different in everyone's eyes. But He is always beautiful.
Doesn't it make you smile to know God feels that very same way about us????
:)

Oh yes for sure

I am a 100% behind you on your concept
of, inner beauty
__instead of, the decor of, the 'vehicle' you ride in [?]

Also, I believe,
that, our "bodies" are SUFFICIENT
for, our 'existence' .... here, on earth

That they, [our bodies] are, an EARTH-SUIT....
which, we will discard
when our time 'here' is complete [for, each of us]

The Spirit, doesn't have ANY physical limitations

This was sent to me yesterday by a friend, and it was found on the Internet. No Authers Name was attached.
WAS JESUS HANDSOME?,

My thoughts have always been that Jesus was never much to look upon, that He was ordinary, and not very Handsome. However, I found this in an article by Dr.
Orman L Norwood of International Board of Jewish Missions.

During the Ministery of Jesus, the following description
was sent by the President of Judea, Publius Lentulus, to the Senate of Rome.
This quote is from an ancient Roman Manuscript.

" There lives a Man of singular charactor whose name is Jesus Christ, in Judea. The Barbarians esteem Him as a
Prophet, but His own followers adore Him as the immediate offspring of the Immortal God. He is endowed with such unparalleled virtue as to call the dead from
their graves. and to heal every kind of disease with a word or touch, This person is tall, and elegantly shaped: his aspect is amiable and reverent: his hair flows into those beautiful shades which no united colour can match, falling into graceful curves below his ears,
agreeable croching upon his shoulders, and every parting on his head like the head of a Nazarite.

His forehead is smooh and large, His cheeks without either spot, save that of a lovely red, his nose is smooth and formed with exquisite symmetry: his beard is thick and of a colour suitable to the hair of his head, reaching a little below the chin, and parted in the middle like a fork. he rebukes with majesty, commands with mildness
and invites with the most tender and persuasive
language: His whole address, in deed or word, being elegently graceful and characteristic of so exalted a being.

No man has ever seen him laugh, but many have seen him weep, and so persuasive are his tears that the multitude cannot withhold theirs from joining in sympathy with his. he is very temperate, modest and wise, and in short, whatever this phenomenon may turn
out in the end. he seems at present from his excellent bearin and devine perfection, in everyway surpassing the children of men.

This was sent to me by email so I have writtenit here for your comments, is it a fraud or not. Elshevia.

I do not think that Christ was an extremely good looking man nor do I believe he was an ugly man. My reasons?

If he were extremely good looking he would constantly have been pursued by women only because they found him physically attractive. If he were ugly he would have repulsed some people. I believe both would have hindered his ministry. He needed to appear to be an ordinary man so people would be attracted to what he was saying not his physical appearance.

Oh yes, Sister! This is exactly what He is.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Cor 13:12

If we love Him, we are already seeing more clearly today than we did yesterday!

"I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept." Song of Solomon 1:5-6

Who is black? I am, for the darkness of this world still seeks dominion within me, but I am comely, because His Light is within me and is shining on the pathway which He has set before me.

What does Jesus look like?

"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?" John 14:7-9

"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.

As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste." Song of Solomon 2: 1-3
