A warm Hi. to you all.

Hoping to get to know you, I'll sit quietly in the corner, but any tea in the pot. Brill!.

Home bird, family grown and flown but hubby and I enjoy life and often have a chuckle, he often works late too and will 'phone, we have some laughs. I am retired so ladies and gents the kettle is on the boil.

If we could speak what accents we would share!
All for now. jayh.

Thought I'd say Hello, retired so golden and a few more years!! I like the sharing talks as it is a way of getting to know you all. So, here I am quietly near the corner, sipping tea. Not a lot to say, donot tell my husband that he may well laugh. So, for now, all I can think of is ..A stranger's just a friend you do not know..

Yes, the forum has many surprises....many friends have been made here. There are a lot of conversations going on in Private Messages PM, that is where much sharing goes on that is not seen in the public threads.

You are welcome to enter into any thread you see that appeals to you...just jump in and say "HI" or make your own comments. We take joy in the fact that we are all different in many ways and praise God that we also have so much in common.

So true. I have lived in Northern Florida for 58 plus years, and you folks would get a laugh from my "southern" accent I'm sure. I'm a very new member here. Feel free to PM me anytime.

Thanks, Dave. Wow! Lots of kids.

Yes..... We are 'called' The Baby Boomers....

In my first marriage @ 4.5 years, we were blessed with three boys
our first, passed-on, aged just four months
I, so enjoyed his stay with us
The Lord giveth
and the Lord taketh away
In my second marriage, @30 years, there was, a stepdaughter
four boys, and two daughters
one of these girls, Samantha was born at 26 weeks
her stay was just 6.5 hours

Now, I am 'hooked' on a very wonderful lady
became engaged, to her, on 'Sunday' last
and Mary, has lovely [grown] kids of her own
I have been called
'Dad' and also 'Uncle Dave' and 'Granddad'
since my arrival here... I feel 'adopted' by them...
Nice People < these northerners..
yknow ?... like, Right-Hospitable and Big-Hearted ?
