No problem where else do you hang out? I like the New Music Game The music Game and the Baby Boomer Music Game. Hey can you guess I like music??????

I like all kinds of music too. More appreciating it than doing it. I tried to learn to play the flute and guitar. I never excelled at it. I work full time so don't have a lot of time to write but will continue to explore this big site. Thanks again for the welcome.

I am learning to play guitar again. Not that I was ever that good but I used to use my old nylon string folk guitar to sing in the 70's to praise the Lord and work with kids. It broke I had my own family got busy and forgot almost all of what I knew before (it wasn't much but I could finger pick a bit then and now I can't). I received a new guitar, a lovely yamaha acoustic with pick ups for Christmas so have been trying again. It is great outlet for me when I am alone just singing for God. I know he is only listening for a "joyful noise". lol.

My disabled son is in a hand bell choir as part of his day program It is such a beautiful restful type of music and they often are accompanied on the harp or cello. Outstanding. Jan

I like a nice handbell choir, Jan. Sounds beautiful.

Congrats on your new guitar. I have one but its a cheapie acoustic. My brother sent me an electric guitar but something went wrong with the amp.

I only can remember a few chords - I used to play in a praise band at church about 10 years ago.

I play in a handbell choir too. That's great your son can do this.

Oh that is easy for him I think he is bored when he only gets one bell. lol He is extremely musical and plays drums with one of our church worship teams. He has limitations but music isn't one of them. He knows more oldies details than I do anymore. lol. I know that music accesses a different part of the brain than speech as he could understand sung instructions before just plain verbal ones. We would sing his routines to him and it helped. Actually his dad did that more than I did. Jan

Hi - i'm pretty much a newbie. I've been flitting around the forum. I actually just found Golden Eagles. I'm an unpublished writer in the Christian genre' and am just beginning to write again after a two year dry spell thanks to God and some wonderful folks on the dreams/vision forum. Hoping to have some great fellowship!

Nice to meet you, Ed! Welcome to Golden Eagles! What subjects do you/have you written about? I wrote a book for bereaved parents about a year ago. We self-published. (My goal was simply to have some books on hand to give to other bereaved parents which would hopefully minister to them.) I have no plans to write any future books! One was quite enough for me!;) Glad you've broken "your dry spell!"

Anyhoo, welcome aboard, Ed. Hope you will post some more over here and let us get to know ya!

Note~~everybody "Ed" is a lady! (From your user name, I was thinking you were a man!)

Hi Ed and Jbm welcome wanted to give reps but for some reason the little light bulb rep button appears to be missing. :( Oh well here is hoping you enjoy continued friendly fellowship and inspiration here on CF. Jan
