God's children cannot be frightened away. They can be misled, though, when they don't know any better.

When I understood how deceived I had been by "You'll go to heaven if you are good", I was horrified and not a bit angry that I had not been taught the truth.

I did not Mock Erwin, I am merely the voice pointing out the flaws in his plan. I hope you are not worshiping Erwin like you worship Christ.

And if Fundamentalist is to be my label, so be it, but I am not a Fundamentalist, just ask the truly Fundamentalist Baptists, I don't read from the right bible (NKJV not KJV)...

"every other Religion" so you want to embrace Buddhism, Shinto, Hinduism, Islam, and every other false religion?
The Names I named, are groups that call themselves Christians, but are not Christian at all...... if you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend that it's alright, go ahead, but I have warned you what's to come, this will not be the glorious place you expect it to be.....

BTW: Erwin is not Messiah, he's just a man, And while Christ was Pursicuted it was for doing the right thing, I merely pointed out what's very wrong with this plan.....

On Second thought, there are Conservatives and Neo-Con's or Radical Conservatives who are like Conservatives but different, so maybe I'm something of a Neo-Fundie....... if you must title me something pedantic and pointless so you can ignore what I have to say.... there it is....

Do you even understand why they mocked Jesus?

This is one of the major reasons why I left the Baptist denomination.

The only sad thing is the Truly Heretical Position adopted by Erwin, I thought he was a Christian, I see now he's not, or if he is, he is on a very slippery slope......
Neither I, nor Erwin, will miss people like you. And I'm pretty sure this is exactly why CF has gotten so bad and needs to be changed.

It will get much better now with false religions saying we are all wrong, people saying Jesus wasn't God, and much more flames (why not? you can't get warned, theres flames with warnings, anarchy never works)

Wow, once was not enough.

One good thing I have seen come out of this is an actual uniting of fundamentalist Christians of all churches and denoms coming together in a way I would not have thought possible previously. The fundamentals of the Christian faith do not change. They do not even get re-interpreted. Perhaps this dustup has caused us to examine what does make us brothers and sisters in the faith.

Maybe THAT was Erwin's plan all along? Thanks afterall!

Only if you don't trust God. I got warned for sharing the truth.

I left and when I saw this change, I won't be tied down to legalism any longer.

I see that this transition is going to take some time. HowardDean, I am not part of the agenda you are on, you know that and you know it from LONG ago.

ContentinHim, you would be surprised what I know about Christ and his life and why hew as mocked and eventually crucified.

TwistTim, how very arrogant of you to post to me like that and presumptuous at best. I do not worship Erwin. I merely have supported him for the last three years no matter how he chose to run his forum even when I didn't agree with him. You will find I am a long standing support of CF no matter what point of view people want to put on me.

I find it interesting that when people can't pin down exactly what I believe, I get told, OH, you aren't Christian, You're mormon (because I defend them and their right to worship as they see fit) I get told, so you aren't mormon, and I don't recognize your beliefs as christian so I think you must change to a pagan icon and leave the christianity to us. THEN when I do as I had been harassed to do, I get floods of PM's begging me to return to Christ. I return to Christ and it starts all over again. FOR YOU PEOPLE. I am still who I was in the beginning. I have never pretended to be anything but who I am.

So you see I AM very much in favor of Erwin's decisions. Particularly the part where neither you or anyone else gets to tell me what I believe, or what religion I believe or how I should believe.

If you want the truth, then let people speak it without recrimination on all sides of the religious issues. Let them speak. What? Are you afraid? Again, I ask, is your faith so weak you can not listen? Do you know how to live in your religion and hold stead fast while allowing others to do the same?

Therefore, in a post-Christian world and in an often post-Christian church it is imperative to point out with love where apostasy lies. We must openly discuss with all who will listen, treating all men as fellow men, but we must call apostasy, apostasy. If we do not do that, we are not ready for reformation, revival, and a revolutionary church in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are all too easily infilitrated with relativism and synthesis in our own day. We tend to lack antithesis. Francis Schaeffer Death in the City (Downers Grove, InterVarsity Press: 1969) 39

I couldn't agree more. But apostacy will have free reign and truth will be shouted down. Do you believe that this is part of God's plan? (Actually, it probably is because it is prophesied, but do we have to let it happen without objection?)

Cassie, because not all speech is truth. Eventually truth will not be allowed. This is clear from scripture. It may have already started here. That's why I care so much!

What exactly are you calling legalism, Jim? You keep saying this.

I left CF for preaching the truth. They called it flaming.

Being a Christian requires great care and a true knowledge of the Bible to distinguish a spiritual burden from doctrines irritation. We cannot close our minds to everything that is happening around us because if we do that, others are grieved by burdensome legalism. In our Christian fellowship (not individual), we must recognize that the Holy Spirit desires to take us and control us, and use us as instruments through which He can express Himself in the Christian community.

Can we trust the Holy Spirit to convict us see false teachings, to reveal Christ, to open our minds to understand spiritual truth?

I have rarely seen anyone flaming like that except those who attack the Mormons and other unorthodox Christians as well as the Non-Christians. I am well acquainted with how you like to point the finger and not notice the other three pointing right back at you.
