I've read every post and I think your seeing things. I;ve seen no hatred. I've seen disappointment, disallusionment, surprise but the only animosity is coming from some of the supporters of the change.Really, you need to take a much closer look at what you are writing. Many people do. The hatred is not in GA or anywhere else right now ... it's right here. And all of it is coming from the mouths of christians
I find the idea of someone who thinks of their fellow human beings, good people who have done no wrong, as sickening to be a wholly disappointing viewpoint.
Um, did you actually read my post? Because that's not what I said, at all. But really, thanks for telling me what I know about and what I don't. Likewise, if you think Christ came to give you license to hate whomever you want, whenever you want, for whatever reason you want, then YOU know very little of his purpose.
Wow, berating and demeaning me has really changed my mind! See you in the front pew tomorrow!
Seriously, what do you expect from me? I know what I want out of my life and my spirituality, but by treating me this way, you will only repel others who may have been Christ-curious.

Goodchild, I have been watching what I have been posting very carefully. Even Jesus got angry and I am right now along with many others.I agree with you..![]()
I think you miss the point. I'm a former non-Christian myself and I'd be the last person to say I don't want to interact with non-Christians. One of the things that does concern me is the removal of faith icons. How do we know who is what? Could someone just sign up as a troll pretending to be Catholic, Orthodox or whatever just to cause trouble? It's always possible because some people have very little to do with their time.
I'm extending you an open invitation to come into OBOB once the restrictions are lifted. I consider you more than welcome to come in from what I've seen of your posts. I know to some people that a faith icon is like a badge, but it certainly makes it easier in the long run.
You would think so, if the balance hadn't shifted away from christianity.Intolerance was also a characteristic of Christianity during the time of the Inquisition and during the time of the Reformation of the 16th century, and even sadly during the early years of the Puritan movement in the USA. It would seem, now in year 2007, we as Christians should move forward in our ability to discuss theology, Chrisitan history, prophecy, etc, etc., with a level of maturity not seen since the time of the Apostles.
The "devil" is too overrated. Why would what I expect matter if you honestly believe I hate you? I don't hate anyone here, except the devil and if my posts repel the devil or those who would do his bidding here, God's will be done.
Figured you'd be spouting the party line give the new position that you've lined up for yourself once all the changes are pushed through.
Goodchild said:With the changes that Erwin has announced, there has been an incredible rash of unhappy moderators breaking the forum rules that are still in place. Flaming and encouraging others to go to other specific forums seems to be the activity du jour among many.
It is terribly sad that in their unhappiness with what they see as a departure from their view of christianity they are violating the core of christianity in the process. These people need to be reminded of these things.
They made an agreement to uphold forum rules. Do you really wish your final witness of christianity to all the non-christians here to be that of an oath-breaker? What does this speak of your tenure as a moderator that you feel it acceptable to break the rules willy-nilly when things are no longer the way you want them to be? you disservice every single person you ever formally contacted as a moderator in doing this.
Not only do these acts of flaming and rebellion make a mockery of the position you sought, it shows every single non-christian exactly what they have suspected all along ... you are no better than any of us, you have no more integrity, morals or ethics than any of us. With these snotty acts you are doing more to harm the image of christianity than any thousand atheists in your forums could ever manage. Think about that.
If you really feel so strongly that the changes are wrong and that you must leave, then by all means leave. If you feel you need to speak out about the changes and make your opinion heard then fine, by all means do so! But do it with class and follow the rules that YOU swore to uphold.
I made a few posts to support the changes, I hope that was not taken as animosity.I've read every post and I think your seeing things. I;ve seen no hatred. I've seen disappointment, disallusionment, surprise but the only animosity is coming from some of the supporters of the change.
I think that's fairly subjective. An eye for an eye, to me, is a continuation of imbalance. It never reaches a balance until everyone is blind. If someone takes (pokes, jabs, penetrates or otherwise destroys) your eye, passively defending yourself against another such attack restores balance as quickly as possible.I respectfully disagree. It is easy to show God's love to the people who show respect to us. Balance, if one would call it that, is an eye for an eye, but Jesus taught us to love those who are intolerable.
Being intolerant of the intolerable is the way of the world. Loving the intolerable is the way of a Christian.
It seems this community as a whole has lost sight of that.
Thanks for the update, Goodchild!Save yourself the trouble Bear. It's either:
Sounds great!
Not sure, but hope it works!
Atheists as moderators is sickening and they are dishonest!
Mormon's and JW's are going to proselytize in our home congregations!
We must tell people whether they are christian or not!
CF is giving over to the disgusting homo's!
That's about it, I think.
I do not think that he should be underestimated. The "devil" is too overrated.![]()
It is campaign season for the liberals with the New CF on the horizon.
I read the above as no RESTRICTION does not mean you may not have a faith icon. But that you choose your icon. Not that you must be Lutheran to have the "Luther Rose" but if you identify with it, then you may use it.
Reps to you.I have to say, this thread, little moderation, atheists, Christians, and other, all mixing it up together has been great and informative. I'm disappointed in some of my Christian brothers and sisters for the way they are acting towards each other and non-Christians and am grateful to my non-christian friends for their kindness in the face of such posts.
All in all, this thread PROVES it will work if people are willing to give it a chance and actually be interested in fellowshipping with those who are not like our own selves.
blessings to all

I do show God's love and interact with many unbelievers. There is a difference in interacting and being yoked together with them.Good! Then you realize that you can't "become" them, but you must at least interact with them and show them God's love. You're on the right track, dear.
Nothing...just that girls don't poop.Alice the Sister said:And what does my avatar have to do with it?
I may use the brain and the spirit after this.Interesting...
If this works I might just return to posting here at CF.![]()
